Broncos Fanatic
Game of the year. I'm hearing that there may be 50-60 inactives for this game. Sheesh....tough sledding.
You pose a Kwondry - young one.Game of the year. I'm hearing that there may be 50-60 inactives for this game. Sheesh....tough sledding.
Much needed.
Games to follow: Chargers @ Chiefs, Dolphins vs Jets. You can throw in the Bengals but because they have 8 losses and the Broncos get a chance to deal with them directly they're not as interesting right now.
The Chargers game is tricky. They have to travel and then on a short week play the Broncos. Two divisional rivals in the same week. That's tough. Plus if they lose to the Chiefs they'll be up for the Broncos to rebound. If they beat the Chiefs they will be up for the Broncos to keep momentum. So the Broncos coming out of the by are going to have a tough week with a motivated Colts team followed by the Chargers just a few nights later.
As for the Dolphins it's pretty simple. Go Jets. Just to give the Broncos a little more breathing room.
I agree. It's hard to know which one to root against. One thing. I do think we want to avoid is a situation where the Broncos play the Chiefs both in week 18 and WC Weekend. Playing the same team back to back like that would probably not work out well. I am hopeful both teams are locked into a playoff seed by then so that last game won't be all that meaningful. I think it would be exceptionally hard to beat the Chiefs twice in a row if both teams had something to play for.I'm torn on that Chiefs/Chargers game. On one end I don't want to see the Chiefs get that 1st round bye. On the other if the Chargers lose then Broncos could really jump up in the playoff standings and not just be competing for the 7th seed but maybe move up to that 5th seed and get a nice matchup with the Texans. So probably leaning towards the Chiefs winning that one.

It's not out of the question. We have. the same record as the Ravens, but I consider them highly likely to win at least 3 of their remaining 4. The Texans would definitely be the weakest of the 1-4 seeded teams, but I wouldn't hate another playoff tilt with the Steelers either. I think we can beat them.I'm still hopeful that we could maybe move into that 5th or 6th spot for the playoffs. That would mean getting into a game against Pitt or Houston at this time. I think the Broncos would stand a decent chance against either of those teams. Buffalo or KC though and it could get bad in a hurry.
Absolutely. A trap game if there ever was one.I am nervous about this matchup.

Playing KC in the playoffs wouldn't be the end of the world. They are a team the Broncos seem to play close and well against splitting with them last year. I am not sure they would love seeing the Broncos again either.

I'm not nervous at all. As a matter of fact, I will go on record here and guarantee that we will not lose this week!Absolutely. A trap game if there ever was one.
I don't think any NFL team wants to face Denver in the playoffs. It is hard for any team in the league to gage where this Bronco team might be as an opponent because they are continuing to be on the rise - gaining confidence, adding to the playbook and getting into closely connected WRs and Bo NIx.Right now I would rank opponents for the playoffs of teams I would not want to play as
1) Buffalo--Team is dominating everyone they play
2) Baltimore--They have the type of offense that our defense struggles with
3) Kansas City--They look beatable but they are still the 2 time reigning champs
4) Pittsburgh--Tough defense and Wilson can hit those big plays down the field that have doomed us a bit lately
5) Chargers--Good all around team but I think they are beatable
6) Houston--I think we would be favored even if we were the road team

I am so nervous that I decided to sit any Bronco players on my fantasy football squad this year.
I predicted we would win 12 games and that we would knock off the Chiefs in the play offs ....HmmmmPlaying KC in the playoffs wouldn't be the end of the world.
