Game Thread: Week 14: Denver Broncos at Houston Texans

Both teams coming off wins in week 13, but Houston is much more accomplished and this game means more to them then Denver. That being said this could be a trap game with the Texans coming off the New England game and then they have a big match up with the Tennessee Titans in Week 15.

That being said I expect the Texans to win given Lock has never started on the road. It is a great opportunity to expose Lock to life as a starting QB on the road.

As I have done these week after week it seems we are pretty close with the exception of 2 areas we need to improve on: passing offense and scoring offense. Rush defense is a bit concerning, but when you play a lot of close games and your offense is not score points that tends to help pass defense, and hurt run defense.

I think our offense will continue to progress under Lock and we'll score some points against the Texans defense. I'm more concerned with our defense's ability to stop DeShaun Watson and company. I expect a loss but look forward to seeing Drew Lock's progress, with a couple of explosive Lindsay/Sutton plays mixed in.

Trap game - deluxe for the Texans. Lock will fare better than Brady - because of his wheels. I expect Tim Patrick to get some shots in this game.

Sounds like Miller will play today.

I don't think they win this game, but I think they keep it close. The Texans defense is below average, so the Offense should find some success. This is a great opportunity for Lock take another step forward. I hope he doesnt look overwhelmed in the noisy environment. It will come down to the Texans Offense and the Broncos defense. As long as there are no blown assignments the Texans should be kept in check with what they are able to do. I could see them scoring on 3-5 drives. If we can limit them to mostly FGs instead of TDs then we have a chance.
