Here we are... The official launch of the Seahawks debut this year... As we know, most of our starters won't play in the 1st game.... Looks like Drew Lock will take most of the snaps today in the 1st half... Looking forward to see how he plays with the same system in place for him 2 yrs in a row... I think it's the first time it's happened for him since joining the NFL...

Obviously can't wait to see how our rookies do but specifically looking forward to watching Njigba and D. Hall... Looks like Witherspoon (hamstring - hope this isn't chronic... 2nd spot on his leg he's had hamstring issues so far) won't be playing today along with Charbonenet...

Not much "live" tackling during training camp so let's see how these guys wrap up on defense and special teams... This was an issue for us last year on defense...

I definitely want to see what Drew Lock can do now he has been in our system a full year now. I am on board with not playing any of our starters or even highly picked rookies. This game should be all competition for the undrafted and signed players to see who would be capable of filling in if we had any injuries to our team.

Lock was listed as one of the winners so far in this training camp. When he was playing with the 2's and 3's he was doing damage against the #1 defense. His numbers were actually better than Geno's in the mock game and Geno was going against the #2 and #3 defense. They put Drew in with the #1 offense at the end of the Mock game and he drove them down for a TD. Corbin Smith brought this up. Not saying he is better than Geno just saying i am fine with him as our 2nd string QB and if Geno goes down. He is only 26 years old so still young and still has a lot of growing to do. Lock has issues with inconsistent accuracy and tends to rifle the ball when more touch needs to be added. He just needs to develop and only playing time will do that. Also he can move around pretty good but when he does he is not very good at producing lmao. Thats just something he needs to work on is all.

He just needs to develop and have confidence in his ability.

Curious to see how Mafe (hope he plays), Witherspoon, Cam and Oluwatimi look tonight. All should get playing time. I'd frankly leave JSN, DK, Lockett, and the entire RB crew out outside of Dallas out.

I don't believer WItherspoon is playing...

Why would you sit JSN out?

I hope that Cross and Lucas don't even play. If either of them get hurt, we have very little depth at tackle.

I think @Sharkonabicycle is on the same page as me that I think JSN will be a stud immediately. Probably doesn't want to risk him getting hurt.

It'll be interesting how the targets end up working out. JSN thrived at Ohio State with Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson on the perimeters and in Seattle he'll have DK and Lockett in 3 wide sets.
