They looked fine tonight when it was starters against starters which is important

When it was starters vs. starters, the defense looked great: After two awful seasons on that side of the ball, the Saints have been off to a promising start this summer. and their momentum continued in New England. The Patriots gained a total of 25 yards with three punts on their first three drives. DE Kasim Edebali, DT Nick Fairley and LBs James Laurinaitis, Dannell Ellerbeand Nate Stupar made some of the biggest plays

I'm not even surprised that the saints defense has to be PERFECT to avoid scrutiny. Two TDs were defensive and two more came on drives after the other two turnovers.
