Big Ben is great for sure but outside of AB theres nobody catching passes for PIT that scares me. Granted, AB, DWill, and Ben could still be enough to get the job done.
They definitely shouldn't scare you. But I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Wheaton have a 100+ yard day. He did it against Seattle last season (over 200yds) because the Seahawks were intent on doubling AB all game long.

Gotta admit that I'm pretty excited to see Garvin playing against us... Loved that guy in the black & gold. Ziggy Hood, not so much.

So you are not worried about Norman or Breeland? You mention the Redskins depth at Wr and TE. Besides AB who do the Steelers really have to score all these points?

Obviously you don't know much about or have much respect for the other OFC players PIT has aside from A.Brown, but I understand....they're not household names. The big key is Ben having time...if AB is not open, he'll find option 2 or 3.

I'm certainly not gonna guarantee a win, I wouldnt be surprised at all if Pittsburgh wins. Im just saying it seems pretty 50-50 to me.

Vegas line we know is to move money, but the early line indicates they think PIT is a little better team as I do, but that doesn't mean they will win.

I've got the Steelers winning this one, but it wouldn't surprise me if WAS won...I'm concerned for certain.

Really looking forward to this game. Think we've got a great shot at winning. Lot of respect for the Steelers, always a good team.

Biggest concern for me is our run defense and pass rush. Think our O is explosive but so is Pitt. Not as concerned about the running game as other Skins fans. I don't expect greatness but I don't think it will be ineffective either.

the steelers are a better football team at this point . my main concern is mistakes and we make a ton of them . until we beat a team with a winning record we are still locked into being on the cusp .

the big thing from preseason was how sloppy we were

Well give me proof. The Redskins have the better TE, the better #2 Wr and the better #3 WR. Are you really comparing Wheaton and Jessie James to Garcon and Reed? You don't think Bryant, Bell, and Miller take away from your offense? Of Course Ben is the better QB but Cousins has more weapons. Plus aren't you down a Cb?

I'll give you the most important advantage Pitt has... Big Ben. No arguments against that.

Proof? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

I'll respond this way.

The biggest proof comes in the money...we know Vegas sets betting lines to bring money in on both sides...this early in the season, if they set the line at even most people are not going to bet on WAS based on what they have done in the recent past and what they're projected to do this season.

What I mean by proof is that Garcon and Reed are established weapons. Wheaton and James are not. That is proof. If the game is even by Vegas then the advantage should go to the home team. Right?

Garcon and Wheaton...edge to Garcon but slight imo, Reed and James, clear edge to Reed. That said, I'm still not clear on what this proves in terms of the projected outcome of the game.

Vegas...Right? Actually I think if the odds are even, it's pretty clear they think the road team has a chance to win but don't want to lay points.

But the reality is, we're not going to have any proof until about 11:30 or so Monday night.

With a Redskins win Monday night, we still wont have a win against a team with a winning record.

I hate this game. The opener is always exciting, I want to get going with a Sunday 1:00 kickoff against a middle of the road team. Instead we have to wait until Monday night, when we always seem to lose, to see a home game full of Steelers fan filling our stadium.

I think he is a decent player but I agree he is not an established weapon
This is probably what it comes down to. Brown is a special player, but is somebody on Pittsburgh going to show that he's a legit #2 threat?

Im just proving the Redskins have more offensive weapons then the Steelers right now. It should be a close game. I don't expect either team to get blown out.

Agreed...it should be a close one either way.
