is there any evidence to support these guys speculations ? any hard non CSI gueses?

they are talking about a mythical conversation that may have taken place when it is just as viable that gruden came in and said , RG3 , i am afraid you will get hurt so i want you to be in the pocket . in the end i can manage you like dalton .

that is my beef , the assumption always comes back to Rg3 being the asshole and somehow not being a teammate when the hard evidence (fucking socks aside ) is the opposite

to make Rg3 a pure pocket guy it could very well take 5 years . that is too long to wait . stop trying to kordel stewart the guy and go with the flow .

otherwise put KC in there and draft a pocket guy in the draft after fixing the o/line

If you are trying to make RG3 into a pure pocket passer...you will be waiting for a reincarnation. 5 years is far too long to wait for RG3 because his longevity will be shorter than most pocket passers.

Yep...and some blame for the OL goes away.

I don't blame the Oline for everything. They are what they are. I blame not playing to their strengths. Some of that is on Griff, some of it is on the Line but most of it is on the game planning.

finally someone says it. gruden needs to put his players in positions where they are most likely to have success. we suck at pass protection but are great at run blocking, we should probably run the ball more. hey, if we did that there is also this thing called play action. heres a crazy idea, call a read option so teams will fear rg3s legs again.

They appeared to call it three times. not once did he pull it out and run. And twice in those cases he probably should have. Let me ask, if the coach calls it, and the QB simply hands it off, is that on the coach??

No, that would be the decision of the QB, if it was in the game plan.

As far as I know, no ROs were in the game plan. I read that from multiple sources. They did present the look of RO, but there was none in the game plan.

OK so assuming that is correct, the question becomes WHY?? If it was the coaches call, fine. A mistake on the coaches part, but fine. Now if it was that they took it out of the game plan because the QB doesnt want to actually run it, then I would have to question that logic. I agree with Bayless, RG3 needs to have atleast 2-4 plays like that where he actually runs, but then gets down just to keep the defense honest.

Game plan sucked IMO.

We need to feed Al Mo more.

Griff needs to run at least a few times a game. Only way it's going to open up the pass game.

As it is, in the Houston game, there was no time to go downfield to DJax or anyone, except for a couple of times. Which resulted in the fumble that one time with Niles Paul :L.

A few RO need to be in the game plan.

Without the threat of the run, the blitzes and stunts are just gonna be dialed up and dinks and dunks are all we are ever going to see.

No learning anything in that scenario, especially since pass pro is not our strength and Griff HAS to learn to step up and left. TW is going to give him the best protection for passing as of now.

I'm going to use the term 'hybrid pocket passer'. That's what I think he can be, not a pocket passer, not an option QB but a hybrid of the two.

I actually agree with all this. But I will throw in the one HUGE hold back to this is... he has to buy into it. I think he has the athletic ability to do what rogers does for the pack, he has the arm, and I think he is smart enough to make it work. I said this in his rookie year and I will say it now... the ONLY thing that will hold him back is injury... but I will also add his ego to that equation.

I don't disagree with you, it's simply my time frame that is different.

I'm in the middle of the spectrum. I do think Griffin can do it. I agree he has a big ego, but if it can be channeled correctly, all this will be a forgotten bad memory. Injury is the biggest concern to me. And the 14 hits he took in the Texans game worry me. ROs will actually make him safer. That's why I want to see some in the game plan.

I dont hate Rg3, I just hate the excuses made, and some of the personality traits I think he needs to get rid of.

I do know. We all want the TEAM to succeed. We all have different opinions on how to get there. Debate is all good. That's what makes it interesting.
