3 games in an NL stadium, one less position available in the lineup, means not a lot of play for Profar, I would've played Moreland all 3 games at 1B if it were me though

I am with you on that. Moreland has been better at the plate lately and we know he is better defensively. I guess his HR binge was not enough to let him start ahead of Fielder.

Depends if he produces. However, I think JD is looking hard at the buyout option. Hopefully the A's pick him up.

His performance the rest of the year will tell. I have been concerned about him as his location seems to be right in the hitters zone plus he has lost some velocity. Would like to see him turn it around and also come up with a pitch that would break a little from right to left to give the hitters something to think about. So much of his stuff is middle in to RHers.

It just seems the only way cause as long as he's here, Banny and company are going to play the guy at someone's expense.

Detroit is paying 6M/yr of his salary.

He's already earned the relatively modest 5 year contract for 28.5 million, its simply an issue of whether or not they feel like he's worth 22.5/2 or should they pay him 1.5 to go away

Lately, I'm leaning toward the latter, but we've got to replace him with quality.

I imagine he will be the first person released when they have to put someone else on the 40. They had an open spot and he was the best they could find at the moment to fill it I would guess.

True. We talk about how well Desmond has learned to play in the OF but as you mentioned Rua has been great in LF. He picked that up very well.
