Knowing there is an off day Thursday should spur us on this series. With Lewis and Hamels pitching, it looks favorably.
We just came off a long run beating decent to very good teams. You are right now we need to win the games we are supposed to win. Don't think Banister will let the team lower its guard. The Reds are not good. Please beat them Texas.

Oh man their pitching...they are one of the few bullpens that make Texas' overall pen numbers look desirable. The Reds as a team....239/.296/.407 83 wRC+
They suck

Nice to see a Spur shout out.
No really, in all seriousness. Would be awesome to blow the Reds out in both games and rest our bullpen. The bullpen would get 3 days of rest if you include the day off. I know easier said than done, but Banister should think about shutting Diekman and Especially Dyson down for this series.
He already used Diekman the other day as closer...and it worked! That bodes well for him doing it again.
ASB is gonna be huge for them. I hope no Rangers pitchers are selected for the ASG. Just take Desmond as a spare and let's hope the AL wins.Gotta rest those guys sometime. Would really help them in the long run to get 3 days off in a row.

I wouldn't mind sending Barnette and Tolley.![]()
They do have some power in the lineup. Negate that and we should be in good shape. The Reds as a team....239/.296/.407 83 wRC+

So if this is a two game series, then we have to sweep in order to keep our "won series" streak alive? Would be nice to have that rolling into the BoSox series and then time off for the ASB.
Cincy, Sox, Yanks, Twins, Sox, Twins. 19 left before the break.
But yes -- they need to sweep this series in order to keep the streak alive. Oh, and if they can't find a way to get Profar in to the lineup 4-5 times a week, he needs to be sent down.
Last 5 games -- he's started 1 and pinch hit in one. That amount needs to be higher. IMO
