He was signed to a MiL contract. If we bring him up and put him on the 40 man roster it will most likely be to backfill a DL stint by a player on the 40 man.

Hopefully to replace Claudio.

Desmond hit his 11th home run, a solo shot, in a 2-for-4 game in Monday's win over Baltimore.

Desmond's hot June continues, as he was hitting a robust .342/.402/.434 with eight extra-base hits, including three home runs, in the month entering Monday night's game. He has bumped up his batting line from .297/.344/.480 to a cool .312/.362/.505 in that span. The batting average and on-base percentage would both mark a career high, and it would mark the first time Desmond has slugged over .500 since 2012 if he can keep up this pace.

Rangers' Sam Dyson: Notches 14th save against Orioles

Dyson gave up a pair of hits but held the Orioles scoreless for his 14th save Monday night.

Dyson has allowed four baserunners over his past two outings but has escaped unscathed both times. His run as Rangers closer remains perfect in 14 opportunities. Dyson's ERA is down to 1.98, and even with his close shaves the last two times out, Dyson still has a nifty 0.97 WHIP.

Holland lasted just 4.1 innings and allowed three runs on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts in a no-decision Monday against Baltimore.

Holland has lasted five innings or fewer in each of his past three starts and has watched his ERA balloon from 4.53 to 5.20 as a result. He has just 43 strikeouts in 72.2 innings and his inability to miss bats, particularly with runners on base, has been punished all season long. Holland has struck out more than four batters in just three of his 14 starts this year.

The next 2 years are option years for Holland, 11 million in 2017 (11.5 in 2018), but the buyout s 1.5 million this year.... Is it time to cut bait with Holland?

I've said for years I don't think Yu resigns here. And if I'm right, it's going to be real interesting to see how JD & Co handle him for the rest of this season, and how they approach this off-season/2017.

I hear ya, but at the same time, it's good for Odor to get some rest. Perhaps more importantly, I really don't want to see Profar being utilized as a DH. He needs to be in the field as much as possible IMO.
