I have spoken
That was the best medieval battle scene since BOTB
Rollo has yet to appear this season if I remember correctly and he is a distant memory right now for the audience.
I haven't seen any promo's for the next episode so I could be(and likely) waaay off on this but still think it would be SWEET to see Rollo pop back into the story in dramatic fashion since many people have likely forgotten about him by now.
Holy shit! Lucky guess on my part so far. Now he just needs to choose Legertha and Bjorns side! It's already confirmed.... Rollo is back.... but.... on which side, Lagertha's or Ivar's?:
Vikings Mega Buzz: Rollo's Return Changes Everything!
Hmmm?
if he doesnt take their side, it will just be writers trying to outwit themselves.Holy shit! Lucky guess on my part so far. Now he just needs to choose Legertha and Bjorns side!
Yeah I agree. I don't know if this particular situation that's about to happen has any true historical base to it or not but if the writers decide to kill off Lagertha and Bjorn,...Floki and Rollo would be the only 2 characters left that have been around since season 1. It would be a big mistake in my opinion to kill off Bjorn especially because this show still needs those close/familiar ties to Ragnar that kinda keep Ragnar relevant in a strange way. If that makes sense?if he doesnt take their side, it will just be writers trying to outwit themselves.
They could just send a raven to Paris. Apparently, if you send a raven, army’s can come back within hours.Unfortunately, I cant think of how Rollo would have gotten word that Bjorn and Lagertha needed his help with enough time for him to prepare and travel that far?
Funny thing is I actually thought of that for a second but quickly realized I was thinking of the wrong show. But yes you are correct! Sending a raven is better than if they had phones according to Game of Thrones! They could just send a raven to Paris. Apparently, if you send a raven, army’s can come back within hours.
According to the preview after the ep, “soon”.Did anyone watch last night? Was that the season ending or the mid-season ending? If it was mid, when is it coming back?
It was and I think that is what keeps it a great show. Ivar is a great character, the guy who plays him is excellent. He makes you really hate him.According to the preview after the ep, “soon”.
But OMG, that was a bloodbath.
Bjorn’s wife
Edge’s kid
Floki (?)
Tattoo-face-brother
Astrid
That is a lot of main-ish characters killed in a single episode.
I didn't care for how the Bishop's story ended up... I can understand why he didn't die in York (Ivar's fascination ala Ragnar) but after the first Viking battle over Kattegat when Lagertha took him captive was stupid. Was it a way for Lagertha to pay homage to Ragnar, or was it just for sympathy? The way they built up the Bishop's character I thought he was destined for greater things, but when he became Lagertha's pony boy I started wondering why they didn't just kill him off? I sure hope they redeem his character in the 2nd half of this season.I'm anticipating an epic fight between Rollo and the Bishop.... and I will be kinda disappointed if it doesn't happen.
