Here's the original thread:

Had to lock it since it was over 10,000 replies.

And here's a picture of Adrian Peterson in celebration of the fact he was selected for the Pro Bowl today!

Just one more game left for the season so why not cap it off with another win?

Don't talk to me about draft picks and how us winning affects other teams because...

Yep, got to end on a high note..
Plus Cassel needs to play pretty well to give himself(and us) some hope for next season..

We could draft as high as 3rd with a loss and we will draft 8th with a win. I'll take the loss in a meaningless game if it can help us in the future by getting higher rated players or giving us a better pick to trade down and pick up more picks.

Nobody will care about this game once next season begins. I do agree I never like to lose and I don't like getting players used to losing but this game means nothing. Look at what winning the Redskins game two years ago did for us, it cost us a shot at RGIII or trading with the Redskins and getting the picks the Rams got from them, wouldn't it be nice to have not only our pick this year which is at least top 8 but also have what will probably be the 2nd pick in the draft as well?

I just want a win.
Make Rick earn his money getting best player with the spot they pick in.
Look at teams like the Pats or Steelers who never get top picks, but always put a solid team on the field. I don't like the idea of losing for a better draft spot, and hope the team and front office feel the same way.

I respect your opinion but comparing the Steelers and Patriots front offices to the Vikings is redonkulous. As I said, look at what a meaningless win against the Redskins two years ago cost us...

The picks that the Skins gave to move up would have been nice.
The Vikes front office is still fairly new, we'll have to wait to see how they pan out in the long run. But that's not really the point I was trying to make. I think they will deal with the position they get, and not play to position themselves better. And I'll be OK with it..

I don't want them to go out and lay down vs the Lions but I will not cry if we lose.

Patterson is a stud. Would like to have gotten a better draft pick for such a diaster of a season.

Do you care who wins between the Bears and Packers? I just can't root for the Bears, I find myself hoping the Packers win.

Eff the Pack. I would have rather seen da Bears. lol

Either way I think both teams would get bounced first round. Our division been weak this year.
