Kevin Vickerson said “Some guys, that’s what they do to get ramped up. But when you step in between the lines, pads talk. Let your pads talk,” Vickerson told the Gazette. “That’s my mindset, that’s my demeanor when I go out on the field. Some guys are media guys. Some guys are cut different. But when you go to really looking at football and playing football, it’s between the lines. Buckle your chinstrap and let your pads talk, man.

Did he not watch the Superbowl? What i saw was a Seattle team that OWNED it between the lines. The Hawks "PADS" spoke loud and clear as The Broncos were flat out scared from the beating they received and i am not talking about the scoreboard lol.

Anyone concerned they will take cheap shots at our players during the preseason game? we humiliated them in the biggest game of their lives. They are obviously still angry about it. Lets hope they keep it clean. stay away from peoples knees

I have thought about this. I'm not sure if Pete an co. have much concern about it but I would be watching very carefully and I'm not even sure I would start RW in that game.

The Seahawks did just that, and gave your team a whipping.

I think Vickerson is just like us fans in ready for this off season to be over and for the real football to....
He's a bitch. He's allowed to be a bitch all he wants.

If he just wanted to wait for "real football to begin", he wouldn't be acting like a bitch.

He needs to heed his own advice if he wants for anybody to think he's not a bitch.

Quite plausible. Add to that the tendency to chirp and there really isn't much to these comments beyond what Vickerson says when he claims that pads do the talking in football. We will see on September 21st how these two teams stack up against one another in the regular season. Only nine more days till we get a preseason view of that.

True... But I'll lean more towards the Sept 21st match-up... 1st pre season game is gonna be sloppy, and the 1st string will probably see only one drive each.... Only thing were gonna see next week is what teams has more depth at the 2's 3's and 4's .....

There are 30 other NFL teams who may have more than a little to say what happens in 2014. Some of us even believe that we have a better than 50-50 chance to be in the Super Bowl. It's way too early to be sounding off..........

The only pads the donkeys sported in the SB were of the maxi variety.

Better than 50% chance of getting to the SB? Isnt that kind of a subtle way of sounding off?

There won't be any cheap shots cause usually week 3 of preseason is curtain call for the starters. If a Bronc takes a cheap shot at Wilson early, expect the same to happen to Peyton. Usually QB's go minimum 1st half into middle of the third and I highly doubt they want to put Peyton in harms way. Now with players fighting for roster spots playing in the 4th quarter, anything goes.

Broncos DT Kevin Vickerson has strong words for Seattle | ProFootballTalk

Does he realize how hypocritical he sounds?

I can't wait for the season to start. Everyone seems to have forgotten that incredibly, the Seahawks play speaks louder than their mouths... Much louder. How any Broncos have forgotten this, I have no clue.

Actually happy to see not only him, but other Bronco's speaking out. Not because of the whole motivation for our boys stuff our fans seem to speak of so much, but because it means maybe the Broncos are waking the hell back up.

They had their souls shattered in that game and lost their swagger for sure. They need to get angry and get back up off that mat and play some damned tackle football again instead of that flag football crap they tried in the SB.

Need them fired up and playing well so there are no more excuses when they are left for dead again in week 3.

:suds:

"Vickerson, it should be noted, was released by Seattle in September 2010".

When will this loser start charging the Hawks rent money for all the time they're spending in his head?

Meh. The Denver/Seattle game isn't even that big for the Seahawks (or Denver for that matter). I'd put it behind each of the division games and the Packers game as well because all of those have much bigger implications for the playoffs.

From a standings point of view you are very correct, but I think emotionally and for matters of confidence it will be a huge game. Especially for Denver. They will want to know that they can compete with the teams of the NFC West that have a decent shot of making it to the SB. If they were to get blown out by Seattle and San Fran I think that would get into their heads if they happened to meet either of them in the SB later.

They're all important. Last year the division was won by a single game, the year before it was 1/2 a game. One non-conference loss is all it takes to miss the playoffs.
