Panthers got creamed by the Cowboys and still own the #1 pick which belongs to the Bears.

Giants on the other hand, decided to play fooitbll and beat the Commanders and handed the Patriots the #2 pick in the 2024 Draft.

Now watch the patriots really screw the pooch and beat the Giants next week and will require the Giants to lose two more games than the Patriots in order to give the pick back.

There is no crystal ball when it comes to drafting QBs or other players. Some mature later on. Some just plain can't grasp NFL offenses and defenses. Some wind up in systems that don't compliment their style of play. You're really just hoping to find that one. Look at these busts.

I watched Maye play against an unranked Clemson team yesterday.
Clemson spanked NC - mainly because of a poor defensive effort.
Maye was not bad but not a world-beater.
Small sample size but he did not look like a #1 overall pick in NC's 3rd loss.

RG3 came off the blocks smoking then injuries derailed him because...well, running QB.
Jeff George won a Super Bowl.
Dirty Sanchez was actually a Good QB for a few years, Sexy Rexy ruined him.

But I get your point.
Potential was never reached. How many of these would have been good QB's with long careers if they had not been drafted #1 overall by the Browns or Lions with no O Line and no coaching.

Really starting to think this is the way. I think Southie said it last week that the good QB's this year are just that. Good. Not Really Good or Great.

Build the foundation.

If we pick 3rd, Alt.
If we get 1st, trade back and grab more ammo for this year and next and double up on Top O-Line talent. Then start searching for #1 WR and QB.

He threw hard passes of about ten yards that could have been thrown much softer and they were not under threat to be intercepted. He wasn't under pressure either. It's as if he says to himself, "Get the ball to him as fast as I can before someone sees him." The WR isn't ready to catch a bullet.

Caleb Williams jumped into the stands two weeks ago and cried uncontrollably in his mother's arms. He refused to speak with the media after the Trojans lost to UCLA this past weekend. His maturity is being severely questioned.

About 60% of the media now believe that Jayden Damiels would be the perfect fit for the Patriots.
