It comes down to morals. You can't prove he knows, he wouldn't get in trouble. I just feel the evidence shows he MIGHT have known and when your dirty Urby your not getting the benefit of the doubt. That's his fault.

Can't prove it, but going to assume it anyway? Makes you look stupid.

What evidence shows it?

It's Urban Meyer and Hernandez was the best TE in the country his last season at UF. Don't you think he saw how good Hernandez could be? He's a great football coach. Role model, not really.

That's dumb. There are good TE's all over the place and even if "the best", it would only be a mild upgrade overall.

Yep, no coach would ever try to cover up something like that!!

It's never been tried before!!

Oh wait!! Yes, it has!! Baylor Basketball!!
You are trying to use the exception to show proof? You are smarter than that.

if this was brady joke, would you be saying the same?

meyers kids got in a lot of trouble, but where is that patter of covering up where he should not get the benefit of the doubt? I would say it was the exact opposite, he was not covering for any of the kids which is why you saw so many in the news. If he was covering you would not see so many. I know I know that makes too much sense.

ESPN DIPFUCK.

I LINKED IT IN MY ORIGINAL FUCKING POST.

Cot damn.

Urban helped cover up Attempted Murder:

You silly bitch, it only took a moment for anyone to look over that POS article and see it had nothing to do with your title and retarded assumption that Urban was involved in this incident in anyway. Why fucking bother looking at your pointless links to gather any information when they don't support your asinine statements "title" in anyway.

God have mercy on you if have to do a thesis project to graduate.

Fucking moron...

I have read this entire thread. What I will say is time will tell. And I fear for Coach Urb this wont end well for him the way alot of you believe.

Where there is smoke there is usually fire. I honestly hope for the passionate Buckeye fans that Urb is clean. This is not what that program needs. And no matter how much some of you or I dislike tOSU they are good for the game of CFB. Losing Coach Urb to a scandal would not be cool.

Many of their fans do wear Scarlett glasses. As I wear Yell-O glasses and some wear orange, red, blue, maize or whatever. Point is, they will defend their program as would we if this were to fall at our schools doorstep.

On the outside looking in Buck fans, we may see things more objectively . Think about that. I hope the Buck fans are right. But I think the larger majority think there is something darker than anyone imagined in Urb's closet.

With all that said, this could be just the beginning of a story that media and msg board folk run with. When that happens it could become a media circus with Urb. This could be a distraction. That is unfair and i dont wish it on any school, not even Washington.

GL2U Buck fans. Lots of CFB doesnt like ya, but most of us dont wanna see the NATTY ship sink this way. Rather see Nebraska beat ya than the media.

That is one of the funniest things I have ever read on a message board. Haters here are rooting for it to be true. Even if this is proven to be total BS, 10 years from now people will be on this board claiming it as the gospel. And if a story came out about Nick Saban or Chip Kelley with essentially the same accusations, everyone but 'Bama or Oregon fans would swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Oh.....IMO the thread/subject is more media smoke/mirrors with their typical approach of taking what happened in yesteryear and twisting the story to appear valid. You can take almost every issue in history and develop more than a dozen scenarios and create the stories of your choosing.

A coach isn't the investigating officer, the chief of police or the DA.

Every coach....every leader will do what they can to get their boy out of trouble. The Coach, through his position only knows the DA, so he reaches out to him to say "Did my boy do this? What do I do to get my boy out of jail?" Ultimately the decision to charge someone for a criminal act is the responsibility of the DA.

If the case was dropped in Florida, Urban didn't drop it. If Hernandez killed someone in 07 and he DA didn't pursue the case, the DA is either corrupt or their was not enough tangible evidence to proceed. Me....I go with the latter. In either case....the coach isn't in the position to proceed or drop the case.

I'm not a "where there's smoke there is fire" type of guy. More than not, that smoke is more the fog of missing evidence.

If tOSU BOT hires the former head of the FBI to investigate this and it is found that Urban helped cover up a murder, he should be fired and given a show cause penalty by the NCAA so he can never coach in college ever again.

However, since this crap all happened at a different school over 6 years ago, I doubt the President, AD and one of its VP's of tOSU were involved, so I think Ohio State is in the clear on this one.

I wasn't all that keen on Meyer being hired as the Buckeye coach (because of the lack of player discipline when he was at Florida), but until he does something that tarnishes the university, I am cool with it. If arrests without consequences begin to pile up at tOSU, I will be here to tell my Buckeye brethren "I told you so."

About as honorable and clear a statment as you can get. Should end this premature debate until at least Meyers name is mentioned once in this case. By the way no love here for Meyer or tOSU.

If Meyer had anything to do with covering up a murder he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I won't jump on any bandwagon on the way to torture and execute Urban Meyer on this at this point but I will just say it wouldn't shock me one tiny bit if he was involved in something like that. He just a despicable person.

Agree with the prosecution part, but not the despicable person part. I don't know him, neither do you. All you know is what you read in the adversarial press. I do know he does a lot of honorable things behind the scenes (as do most college coaches) that go unreported because it won't generate web hits or sell newspapers the way a juicy story like this will.

Woody Hayes, perennial whipping boy of the hater crowd, spent his off-time visiting random people at OSU Hospital (my late grandmother, who worked there, met him several times and witnessed him bringing books to people he didn't know to try to cheer them up).

To be clear, I have seen Meyers name in print as a potential informer or "rat" but not as a liable participant. However, isn't the reason Joepa went to his grave tarnished because he didn't inform/rat? Show me the guy who blames Meyer for "ratting" and forgives Joepa because he didn't and I'll show you a guy with a jailhouse mentallity who also...

1. Refers to his living room as a dayroom and backyard as the rec yard.
2. Is covered with tattoos applied with a gun constructed with an ink pen, paperclip and powered by an alarm clock motor.
3. The central theme of said tattoos revolves around a word identifying the color of their skin and followed by the word "power" or "pride".
4. Loves mom so much they put on their best jumpsuit and no matter what fun the "guys" have planned, still see mom every Saturday between 1pm and 4pm.
5. Use Ramon noodles as currancy.
6. Only fear sex if they weigh less than 190 lbs.
7. Gets three hot meals a day for free and still routinely complains to the Warden weekly.
8. Is forced by circumstances beyond their control to honor "Bros before hoes" both literally and figuratively.
9. Can't understand why you would think washing your T-shirt in the toilet is odd.
10. Lives in a world so upside down that a fart is not considered hilarious, but is considered so disrespectful you get your ass kicked.

I guess I do not see any smoke as of now with Meyer. There is lots of speculation but where is the smoke with Meyer? He could have covered up manythings, but if you recall his players were in the news for being prosecuted. He didnt try to hide that to save face, why would he hide this?
