1st round Blaine Gabbet. BUST Christine Ponder. BUST.

2nd round. Andy Dalton. This is the first decent QB but the Rams were picking 11 spots behind where he was drafted so not likely an option. Colin Kapernick went right after Dalton.

3rd round. No QB's taken.

4th round. No QB's taken.

5th round. Ricky Stanzi. BUST. TJ Yates. BUST. Nathen Enderly BUST.

6th round Tyrod Tayler. I like him but the Rams didn't have a pick in the 6th

7th round Greg McElroy. BUST
Players 'bust' for all sorts of reasons, as with Sam as a Ram, it was his inability to stay healthy. First the ankle, then the ACL, then the other ACL that makes Sam a bust with the Rams.

But dude you can't call guys (Especially QB's) taken in the 7th, 6th & even the 5th and 4th rounds busts, not really. I mean if you can get a spot starter or a quality backup in those rounds, you are ahead of the curve.

When we reach 100 pages I think we should call it a day

Never speak about Sam again. I got a message from Vita to Just Stop.

Maybe we should stop y'all. Coug isn't gonna back down. Even when Sam is in the nursing home and Coug is changing Sam's pants- he still going to be the best ever
I sent that to everyone who posted on the Rams draft thread about Sam or who quoted or was on topic.

The 'just stop' comment was about posting on the wrong thread. It gets tiresome moving posts, and they must be moved because our loyal board members who don't want to read this stuff can just avoid this thread.

That's funny

Cause as a Rams fan, I'm hoping Donald and Co. eat Sammy for lunch, maybe even knock him out of the game.

Sam's gone, could care less what he does for the rest of his career, and hope he's eating turf against the Rams.

Is that how you felt about Warner when he was on another team?

My point was people on here are saying it's so easy to find a Starting QB in the later rounds. That's why we should have drafted Suh. I wanted to know who would they have got?

Cougie, you are definitely incorrigible. You routinely disregard evidence provided by others to advance only what you state and over half of what you state is utter BS.

I think we might have to end this at page 100. I'll deliberate with Vita and come to a consensus.

The thing with Cougie is, it will never ever be Sammys fault when his teams don't succeed and make playoffs, but you can bet your ass "if" his team ever makes the playoffs Cougie will give all the credit to Sammy and how unbelievably dreamy and sexy he is!

Doesn't matter who we would have gotten, we still could have sucked just as well with another QB as we did with Sammy?
Sammy with Rams=BUST

We can talk however I'll state how I feel here, by listing the primary quote I posted at the inception of this thread that states it's purpose...

This thread is here because Rams posters need a place to vent their negativity without threat of action. In that place they shouldn't be subjected to the soporific drivel and trash talk that goes round and round forever.
Some want to act like it's all one poster, but the Sam comments come up and are engendered by many a different poster. It can lead others to respond in kind and frustrate others. Since that is still very much an ongoing thing, I don't see it as a productive move to lock this thread, rather to the contrary.

I see no evidence. The fact is we traded away a capable QB and then we had to give up a ton of high picks to acquire another QB who most likely will not be as good as Bradford. In the mean time we are losing key good players to FA while we play catch up at the QB position. Just the facts.

So, as a supposed Rams fan, you expect our QB to be worse than average?

Cause at best, average is all Bradford is or ever has been.

I understand Shu is a complete stud. But DT's are simply not valued like a QB and you have the chanch to get one at 1 NFL teams will do it. You have no idea when you will have that chance again. I looked up the 2010 draft and if the rams don't take Bradford who are they going to get to play QB?

Tim Teebow was the only QB drafted in the 1st rd.---BUST

2nd round. Jimmy Clausin BUST,

3rd round. No QB's taken

4th round. Mike Kafka BUST

5th round. John Skelton. BUST. John Crompton BUST

6th round. Rusty Smith BUST Dan Lafever BUST Joe Webb BUST. Tony Pike. Bust

7th round. Zac Robinson BUST

Conveniently forget about Colt McCoy (3rd round)? Suh and Colt would've been a better path IMO instead of Sam and Jerome Murphy. Wouldn't have the high salary attached to a sub-500, oft-injured QB that hamstrung them until they dumped him.

Sam Bradford's name should NEVER be compared to Kurt Warners! Kurt Warner was all about winning! He was willing to to take a pay cut so the team could sign more talent!

Sammy Blammy cared nothing about winning! To him it was all about making as much $$ as he possibly could while sitting on the bench! His unwillingness to take a pay cut is the main reason we dumped his sorry ass! Why is it you never talk about this?? Come on Coogie don't you remember?

I don't see the point in locking the thread either, as long as the discussion is kept here (we need to be better about this). It's easy enough to avoid this thread if you don't want to participate.

It doesn't surprise me one bit you guys think Warner was just a god and maybe didn't benefit from the 2 HOF WR's, the HOF LT and the HOF Running back in the back field. 4 HOF players !! Not to mention the rest of the OL was great. Please try to find even an all pro that Sam has played with?? I guess Steven Jackson was the closest thing. You put pretty much any QB in Warners position and they would have great success. Warner was good but he would be the first to tell you he was surrounded by HOF'ers

He has a long way to go before you can justify giving up 6 picks for him.

Colt's not a starter and is no where close to Bradfords skill level. Even in hindsight 7 years later Colt is your best answer?

I'm talking about Sammy refusing to take a pay cut so they traded him. His greediness got him a plane ticket to Philly! :pound:....Thoughts??
