Let's just make a 2022 Season Series Thread the rest of the way instead of series by series because this season is pretty much close to being done. What a disappointment.

Oh and that guy Winker Dipoto picked up? He's supposed to be really really good against RHP. He's batting .199 against RHP this year in 156 PAs. Last year? A whopping .346 in 321 PAs. In fact, he's more productive against lefties this year. lol. People's career goes here to die man.

Not calling Winker out by any means... but the production has been atrocious.

The Mariners announced Tuesday that righty Drew Steckenrider, who was designated for assignment last week, has cleared outright waivers and been assigned to Triple-A Tacoma. He’ll remain with the club but will not hold a spot on the 40-man roster.

Just looking at some major trades over the last few years that we were not involved in. I don't see one team hurt by what they gave up. It is easier to replace the prospects dealt than getting the stud that was traded. And where were we? Oh sorry, we did pick up Gordon to play OF the same year Marlins traded all 3 starting OF's...

He didn't want to go anywhere . If another team picked him up they were liable for the res of his contract. By staying with the M's he gets his full 3.4 mil salary. Even if in minors

He was getting paid either way just a matter of who would be paying him. He didn't refuse assignment because it would have cost him $1.935M minus whatever someone was going to pay him. He was smart not to take the risk.

Well that's game. They aren't going to score 3 more tonight.

The Mariners losing have actually started to benefit me. I placed a $100 moneyline bet on the Twins winning. Placed a $100 parlay bet on the Mariners - Twins not scoring more than 8.5 runs, and the Warriors covering the spread.

If the Mariners keep losing like this I might develop a gambling addiction.

Honestly I'm that guy who has an opinion on everything, but I have no idea what has been the issue with Winker. The only concerns there were about him were not hitting lefties or getting hurt. He's somehow hitting better against lefties, and can't hit righties. I'm a stats nerd and it doesn't make sense. I would fucking pay someone to explain to me why Winker is hitting as poorly as he is.

I thought maybe it's the weather? But he hasn't hit much better on the road.

I never watched Winker in Cincy, so I don't know if he has changed something up or what.

My thought. and I have zero info to back it up, is that Winker and Frazier don't want to be here. Both traded here and probably are too far from home for both. Frazier from Georgia and Winker from NY don't want to be on the far west. Just me.
