For a 7th it's a low risk. Not quite the move I was hoping for but it's not a bad move. I believe he still has some wheels and hopefully he goes all out trying to get that elusive cup.

Well if there is a big trade involving the Caps and the other team is a mystery and hasn't leaked anything to the press they would have to be pretty tight lipped and secretive (Looks at Louie Lams).

There is NO WAY in Hell the Sabres fire Darcy Regier now. Not after the trades he just pulled out.

He's hoping to distract everyone with something shiny so that we forget about the fact that his incompetence put us in this position to start with.

Sure he did well on the Pommers trade (if the updated return is accurate) and OK on Regehr and Leopold, but Stafford, Hecht, Sekera, and Scott are apparently still on the team, Leino and Myers are still making way too much money, and we still don't have a proven backup goalie.

Yeah, but you also have to look at the Hodgson/Sulzer trade, as well as getting a 1st for Gaustad.

Not too mention the Ott/Roy trade.

Every deal he's made lately has paid off for the Sabres so far.
