It f*cking kills me that we have, far and away, the worst QB in our division after trading up to #2 to draft this guy.

Meh.

Stafford/Cousins/Trubsiky all would need really good teams around them to win a SB while they play role of Joe Flacco, Trent Diler, etc.

All 3 of plenty of ugly warts.

Grouping Trubisky in with Stafford or Cousins is insane. lol

Not sure I made the point I intended.

MN/Det have the dangerous, you can do much worse, but they're not all that good and you're just sort of stuck with them.

I suspect MN will extend KC and doom us to being perpetual WC contenders

Mitch, if he sucks again next year you'd think Chicago would move on

I understand the point you are making, I suppose. It was just weird seeing them grouped in under the same "Dilfer" umbrella. As Trubisky would be the only "Dilfer" in the event of a SB win. Those other guys can throw the ball and post some big numbers. They're not elite but they are "good" and can play at an elite level for periods of time. Stafford was pretty much going off until his injury.

If you put a great team around the other two. You would be a SB contender. For Trubisky? He had that and went one-and-done. He literally would need the 2000 Ravens or 85 Bears defense to win a SB. Even then... in today's game? It would still be tough.

But I do understand what you're saying about the "we're stuck" thing. That was like us with Cutler and we only ever sniffed a SB once in 2010.

And here's more ammo for the no-Trubisky crowd:

Mitch Trubisky fans may want to look away

I am the sad.

More of the same, really. It's all true, though.

Except he's wrong about forgiving Pace for drafting Trubisky over Mahomes. It won't happen sooner if he moves on from Trubisky. It may never happen. The only hope would be to raise a Lombardi in the near future. Even then, Mahomes likely raises a multitude of them. So long as Patrick Mahomes is playing football and doing so at a hall of fame level. I have hard time with the idea of "getting over it".

Good article. And yet idiots in here think TE is a higher priority. (rolls eyes). So many morons in here. Thank goodness I'm here.

Quite literally, NO. ONE. SAID. THAT.
