If this is limited and we don't see any further issues I think we'll be alright but if this maintains as a trend long-term I don't think Trudeau is going to be able to do anything other than escalate tensions with the people doing this, which is bad for everyone.

The CN blockade should've lasted no more than three days. Trudeau was still in Africa three days in despite literally the most vital economic corridor in the nation being at a full stop.

What was worse to me was that they got Garneau to act as point man for the feds and he seemed to indicate that their position was that this was a provincial matter. Considering that both railroads and indigenous issues have been entirely federal files since Confederation I'm not sure why they weren't cooked for trying to pass the buck. It really showed that they both didn't understand what was happening and had either no idea or, even worse, no willingness to actually address it. It's weak leadership at best and negligence at worst.

When the founding fathers debated selfie safety rolls of film only came in 12, 24, or 36 shots. Now with the virtually unlimited number of shots available digitally, perhaps its time to revisit this. Also it used to take some time to fire off a second shot, you had to advance the film and maybe put a new flashbulb on, now you can fire off continuous shots. Do your job congress!
