morning: Here are the articles of impeachment, outlining a very long list of impeachable offenses, and even though criminality is not required for the standard of impeachment, here is a further list of crimes he's committed
"expert" commentary: wait, i thought we had moved beyond all of this?

Don'tcha know, repeating the same thing over and over Trumps facts.
Funnily enough, that’s what Canada’s environment minister once said.

GOLDSTEIN: Screeched-in McKenna commits a classic political gaffe

Looking into the camera, a boisterous McKenna, using emphatic hand gestures and raising her voice on key words for emphasis, declares: “But you know, I actually gave them some real advice. I said that if you actually say it louder, we’ve learned in the House of Commons, if you repeat it, if you say it louder, if that is your talking point, people will totally believe it.”

Yep, that's politics (and conspiracy theories) today, and enough of the masses eat it up to make a disturbing difference.

Ronald Reagan is trending on twitter and a lot of people are weighing in on how awful he was as a president.

Browsed a thread on that other board that suggests 69% of Americans don't even have a grand in a savings account yet corporations are paying little to no tax.

Would love to know the % of those that are due to health care costs.

I moved because I couldn't commit to a full year's lease, and my landlord would only sign me to a full year's extension. I regret not just taking my chances on it. I ended up with a rent which literally doubled because so few places were available when I needed a new place, within a reasonable range to ride my bicycle to work everyday, and no longer having a roommate to split costs with, and I was charged a ridiculous amount of money in moving fees (seriously, like two month's rent just to move in), and that dipped me below $1000 in savings. And I've still not finished paying off my credit card, and I'm not even close.

Especially among the young and college-indebted, freshly starting their careers, or trying to; or among the generationally poor trying to get out of that poverty; any little thing can completely crush their savings, even if they had managed to store some up at some point when things were going a little better. It doesn't even need to be something so catastrophic as a medical emergency. And I don't know which fact is worse. That it takes so little to put someone in financial jeopardy, or that it's so easy for something big and cataclysmic to happen.

Has anybody bothered to read the five page letter Trump sent to Nancy Pelosi?!? What a rambling non-coherent piece of drivel. At any rate, it's in the tweet below if interested.

Wow. Holy Shit.

That is now part of the history of the United States of America. His mindset is terrifying.

Our great grandchildren are going to be studying that in school. Just astonishing.
