i wonder what the kings would want for JJ. some help up front, but how good does the guy need to be.. i wouldnt move JvR for JJ.. which means no read, schenn, or cooter either.. cant be simmonds or hartnell.. obviously not jagr or giroux.. would they take a 2nd and zolniercyk? if this move gets made i gotta think the flyers lose their 1st round pick for it

i havent heard anything persay, aside from my caps friends saying that he's AWFUL.. which is why he ended up in the press box.. 3 goals so far this season on a team that all of a sudden really needs him to score (with OV being mediocre, backstrom missing so much time, and semin being less consistent than jeff carter)

i dont think the flyers will look that way, but if someone does, i expect they could get him pretty cheap..

He has valuable veteran leadership and a change of scenery will do him good. I'm sure someone will grab him. I doubt Philly will since they have Simmonds and Hartnell to fill that role.

ya i'm sure someone will too.. if i were in charge i would have a little interest, especially if jvr gets traded (i really wanna see him healthy again soon, i'm gettin kinda nervous)

obviously you dont wanna make too many moves at the deadline with a team that has been pretty successful, but i would look at a lot of stuff.. maybe even moving carle.. its a seller's market, so you could probably get more than he's worth, especially if you dont plan on resigning him.. i was against it before, but if they do something like jvr for schenn, and then a 2nd for gil, they could probably get that 2nd and 3rd back for carle (maybe even a first in this market and considering he's better than gil) and then move a 3rd or 4th for knuble to replace jvr's depth.. gil and schenn fit what the flyers need a little better, have mesz or gust be the 2nd puck mover.. basically just moving pieces around to end up bigger on defense and a little less potent on offense.. and for that you give up a 3rd or 4th rd pick and possibly turn a 2nd in to a 1st

I wouldn't want knuble he was getting slow when he left and is now a fossil....

Maybe they could move Carle and a pick for suter? Preds get a decent young guy at a cheaper rate and Flyers get their top pairing guy to replace Pronger...win/win.

Just out of the Toronto Sun a couple of hours ago. Schenn brothers were at dinner last night and were interviewed about the possibility of Luke coming to Philly. Braden loves the idea. Luke also would love to play with his brother, but loves it in Totonto. I think if the Flyers get a dman, it will be either Jack Johnson or it's Luke Schenn. I'm cool with either one. I don't think it will be Gill,Allen, or Grossman at this point.

i still lean towards the last 3 just because its an easier trade. i think if jvr had been healthy the past few weeks the schenn/jvr trade would've already happened.. and for johnson i have no idea what the flyers are supposed to give up in that deal.. obviously a forward, but who? jvr? it wont be schenn or coots.. do they dangle read? i dont like either of those options.. i'd rather them offer a 1st rd pick as the big piece, but why would the kings want that? they're trying to make a push of their own.. perhaps voracek and a pick? the only time i heard names involved other than johnson was when i saw jvr/bryz for quick/johnson, which doesn't even make sense
