Awaz. Help me out here. Being around the Buffalo area I've been hearing a lot of rumors floating in regard to a package deal surrounding Miller. Could Philly pull off a Miller/ Pominville or Vanek trade? I'm just curious about the cap and Bryzy's current deal?

they could put briere, grosmann (word is they already have), coburn, talbot, and mesz all on LTIR retroactive to when they got hurt to save some room.. and they only have like 20 days of salary to accomadate for whoever they acquire.. plus that'd be like 20 mil of 'space' under LTIR.. so in that regard they could probably do it

they'd have to move some salary to stay under next years cap though i think.. i would think they'd have over 64.3 tied up to next year if they get one of those guys and you can't do that, even if you plan on buying someone out

edit: yep, they flyers already have 64.8 mil tied up for next year's cap. which is actually over next year's cap of 64.3. but the 64.8 includes 2.8 mil in bonuses that may not be reached, so they don't technically exceed next years cap yet. (this is where the pronger contract kills the flyers flexibility)
