i'm fine w/ moving harry Z (even though i really liked him too).. they must not have planned on resigning him this summer.. but why jay rosehill? he's a worthless ogre in the mold of jody shelley? couldn't get like a 7th rd pick or something?

Harry Z was a solid player for us hopefully Rosehill can bring us as much energy as Harry Z

this harry z trade literally blows my mind. i cant figure it out. yeah, he might not be a long term big time player for us, and players like him are expendable, but why trade him away for a pointless defenseman who will never contribute anything to this team? why not at least hold on to harry z for depth? and it only frees 50K in cap space. maybe they are getting rid of a forward to make room for someone else they plan on getting..

pretty much sums up my thoughts.. no overly pissed because even though i liked harry Z, he wasn't that big of a difference maker.. but the trade itself makes no sense.. if you're going to give him away for a pile of dog shit, why not literally give him away (future considerations) and clear the roster spot / tiny bit of cap space

haha sometimes i think you guys get a little too bent out of shape about a trade like this (when i say you guys im not singling you out awaz just in general this entire page of reactions ha) with these guys who are a dime a dozen. harry z played 7 games this year, has 1 assist and 36 PENALTY MINUTES in which i do not believe he had 1 fight haha.

i highly doubt jay rosehill makes the nhl roster. but he is a ittle bit cheaper and they are both UFA's next year. jay is a veteran and probably just a guy they want to help build chemistry on the phantoms. he also could beat guys up if they start hitting giroux like last game.

Harry Z is a better hockey player than jay Rosehill. The difference probably does absolutely nothing to change the flyers win-loss record. Just seems like an odd thing for the flyers to do.

They lost Sestito and don't want Simmonds, Jake or anyone else for that matter to have to fight guys taking runs at G. So there is a reason for the madness...haha! If he's a servicable 6/7 dman even better.
