They showed on ESPN the whole Pens team in church on Easter Sunday praying that they dont get us in round 1.

If the FLyers decide to make a run for the playoffs one trade id like to see if possible is getting Jagr back. Id deal a second rounder for him.

I would love jagr back this would bring Giroux back to the player we saw last year. I think Jagr's game fits giroux's perfectly. If we wouldve only know it was going to be a half season i think we wouldve kept him. Jagr definately wore down over a full season.

2 points out, but there's like 6 teams fighting for the 8th spot that are all within 2-3 points of each other.. can the flyers really expect to be the best of that group w/ lauridsen, huskins, foster, gervais, and gus all getting serious playing time? people said the flyers D sucked with mesz, coburn, and grossmann in there, what kind of awful are they now?

Well definately miss grossmann but Mezz wasnt there pretty much all seasson and coburn was pretty much a turnover factory and a minus with only 5 points all season so our new guys may do something better who knows

i just dont think jagr helps aside from the leadership aspect.. voracek has been better than jagr was last year on the top line, do you take him off the top line if jagr comes back? doesn't seem to make sense to me

probably not. they're both having shitty seasons, clowe is UFA this summer, and burns has a somewhat nasty contract if he doesn't return to form

and even still, i'm not sure they have what the flyers need. clowe is exactly what they dont need IMO.. and burns has a good shot which would be helpful, but he's not the best puck mover in the world and his defense can be suspect at times

i would think a little on it though.. the player burns was in minnesota would be worth a 1st rd pick, but he hasn't been that player in SJ

Whats the story on Grossman anyways? Is he coming back?

I thought Jagr only signed for one year if thats the case we can always sign him as a free agent if needed

that i'm ok with.. but if he really does want gauruntees of top line and 1st PP unit, i dont think he'll come back to the flyers.. they cant, and shouldn't, promise him that

You cant promise that to anyone, what happens if they are stinking it up after 35 games you need to get pulled off the top PP line

WTF, why would they be buyers when they only have a 9% chance at making the playoffs. That's after getting back to back wins to, and they have a road trip coming up where they cant win.

Especially for a forward, no fucking Jagr, fuck Clowe. This team has enough forwards. Now if were talking Yandle to improve the shit D that's different and more long term.
