Saw some one else speculating about Briere to MTL for picks but that was dependent on him being healthy and waiving NMC.

Im in agreement with both those trades we restock our farm and get a stud. Im all for it but it cant be that easy. Cmon Danny B get your head clear and go to Montreal.

Darren Dreger speculates about a Sean Couturier-for-Bobby Ryan swap. I assume that would be in the off-season , not now.

that one makes me nervous.. i love bobby ryan, everyone in philly loves bobby ryan.. and he would look awesome w/ giroux.. but coots is a big chip and bobby ryan isn't the biggest need for the flyers (though i do think a go-to scorer is needed).. if they move coots, it should be to bring in that young, puck moving dman

cant see briere waiving to go to MTL.. they've been booing him there for his entire flyer career, plus the hassle of moving him and his sons out of the country.. i just dont see that one happening

also those bobby ryan comments are from last summer, things may be completely different now

not trying to rain on parades, just keeping everything realistic here

Agree with article above its hard not to do anything but better than getting rid of any young assets. I was hoping for a cup shot this year but felt better with the next 2-4 years. Boyle still interests me as he can help now and in the next few years but it depends on what SJ wants. Probably their 1st this year which goes against rebuilding but the other article makes a good point this years pick isn't a guarantee and may take 2-3 years before you see him. Tough call....thoughts?

Try to trade Briere,Timmo,Gagne,Fedo, and possibly Coburn.
This team needs some money to spend and adding a top pick would make this team a threat right away,

I'm not a fan of Coburn but he probably would have good trade value.

Of the list of people to move, Coburn will bring a return. Briere is injured, has a big contract and NMC. Timmo I would not move unless he asked.

Coburn is becoming more and more an interesting subject. He can play well in the right system. When he is not called on to be a 1/2 everynight he is very capable. That said he is at sea right now. His game has gone backwards.

Coburn could bring the best return...make it so...

i dont think moving a dman does you any good.. you have to replace 20+ minutes a night.. coburn has struggled, but you cant just plug any one in there and get the same results IMO

Since we have no true number one dman we are overusing the rest of the guys...and their flaws are being exposed big time. If we get another Pronger like dman every one gets to shift back into their natural roles...and would start looking a lot better.
