The Pac-12 has a couple of good teams, then a bunch of wildly mediocre teams who would be lower-tier in the B1G or SEC, so that doesn't make them better.

So Cal who was in the middle of the Pac and beat a middle of the Big Illinois would be a lower tier Big team?
or Arizona State who 2 years in a row has finished in the middle of the pac has beat likewise middle of the Big Michigan State?

Over the last 3 years:

B1G West - 13 bowl eligible teams in total, 7 total ranked teams, 10-3 in bowl games

Pac12 North - 13 bowl eligible teams in total, 5 total ranked teams, 6-7 in bowl games

It's not an extreme difference but I'd still say the edge goes to B10 N. I haven't done the ACC Atlantic, but it's really just Clemson and a bunch of junk.
like i said looking at just the records i thought Big W last year but then factor in Oregon over Wisconsin, Cal over Illinois, and Stanford over Northwestern and you have Pac N top middle and bottom all beating Big W top middle and bottom. hard to ignore the on field results.

2019 ASU and 2019 Cal were tied for the 4th best team in the entire Pac 12. 2019 Michigan State and 2019 Illinois were tied for 8th in the entire B1G.

Oregon and Wisconsin were extremely evenly matched. That would probably have been a 5-5 outcome if they played 10 games.

The Pac12 North had one ranked team and a 5-7 team finished tied for 2nd in the standings. The B1G West had 3 ranked teams. Cal finished tied for 2nd in the division while Illinois was a distant 4th. I guess if you wanna talk about your slightly better bottom-feeder beating the B1G West bottom feeder at home, that's your prerogative.

didn't wisconsin get blown out by NW last season? If Oregon can score early, Wisconsin implodes imo.. But what do I know..Iowa beat Iowa state who beat my Horns.. so Iowa>UT? Yay triangle theories :(

You're thinking of 2018, Wisconsin beat NW last year. Also, Oregon did score early on Wisconsin, and Wisconsin responded. That game was a slugfest. The biggest lead of the day was Wisconsin by 6 early in the 4th quarter.

And yes, Iowa > Texas.

every year someone talks about conferences playing eachother head to head top to bottom 1st plays 1st and so on and so in a year when 1st played 1st and the last place played last place and a team in the middle played a team in the middle you now argue it as not fair comparison?

It’s always a great day when ATF finds someone that doesn’t think Ohio State or the B1G is Gods gift to the earth

Oregon won by 1 point in a game that they were honestly outplayed. Yards and TOP were ridiculously in Wisconsin's favor, but 4 TOs will kill you. That was as close a game as you could ask for.

If you want to brag about your basement dweller beating the B1GW basement dweller, go for it. It's not really adding much. Cal was tied for 2nd in their division while Illinois was a distant 4th. That is not apples to apples. Iowa or Minnesota would've likely smoked Cal, or anyone not named Oregon in the Pac12N, and they were in 2nd and 3rd.

You’re trying to argue a division that had over half it’s teams lose to teams from another conference division is better. The only thing you are educating people on is your insane bias.

3 out of 7 = more than half? That some WVU math there?
