Top NFL Franchises over the last 20 years

So, my dad and I got into a discussion that ended with us ranking the top NFL franchises over the last 20 years (not including this season, as it is not over yet). Before we get to the list (that is VERY subjective), here is our criteria/reasoning:

- The list is based off of Super Bowl wins, Super Bowl appearances, Conference Championship appearances, playoff appearances and losing seasons.

- We are both huge Packer fans, so that 20 year mark is great for our arguments for GB, since it would then include the Pack's 1996 Super Bowl win. Yeah, we are homers. Make your own list!

- Super Bowl victories were heavily weighted (because that is what you play for), that is why a team like the Rams is so high.

- Losing seasons are a big negative as well.

- No recency bias. All seasons over that 20 we (tried) to weigh equally.

Yep just like watch Will Ferrell movies. He was funny on SNL but his movies suck imo

I rather read this list for 2 hrs then watch a Will Ferrel movie. Guy was funny on SNL but his movies suck imo like Sandler too. Now Jason Sudeikis another SNL alumi is funny in movies

I've actually not seen the whole movie, just the famous clip. Agree on Jason Sudeikis. Horrible Bosses and We're the Millers were awesome.

Yeah they were , the troothbush scenes was epic and No ragrats in the Millers. Man is Jennifer Aniston sexy in both movies. The horny dentist and her scene with the shower. Wow at almost 50, she looks better than when she was on Friends. Pitt should work on getting here back

I still really like Step Brothers. It is one of my "guilty pleasure" movies.

I hear ya and my son likes his humor esp that movie. I just can't get into his movies, but was great on SNL Jeopardy, Night at the Roxbury etc.

I think his comedy and Sandlers are good for like 16-30 year olds

Yeah, I would agree with you. That is why teams like TB and LA are ranked so high. But putting up a consistent winner has value too, so we tried to be as fair as possible.

Who would you put over the Chargers? They have had some really good seasons over the last 20 years, and it is not like we ranked them that high.

The Eagles were easily the best team over the last 20 years without a SB. Something like 11 playoff appearances, 5 conference championship appearances and a SB appearance.

I feel pretty good about where we put them too.

The Eagles vs Giants is an interesting contrast. One team has a lot of prolonged success, playoff runs, and playoff appearances and the other has few successful seasons but two super bowls.
