Cano has potential, but he is not done. Ask the question again in 10 years and the result may very well be different.

Biggio.

this one is VERY tough... and it is hard to compare 2 totally different players where one has not yet finished his career...

I thought Biggio deserved to make the HOF, and happy he did, and I don't think Cano will ever make the HOF... But Biggio made the HOF for being a compiler, he played so many seasons of being an above average player... Cano, I don't see playing for the 20 years that he will need to make the HOF...

So, I do think biggio will have the better career at the end of the day... BUT, I do think that Cano at his best was better than Biggio at his best... he had a higher BA, more HRs, higher OPS, and played better defense...

So what are we judging by?? who you would rather have playing for your team or who had the better career... that question is what I am debating on now, one answer is clearly Cano, the other is clearly Biggio...

Even though Biggio has 3000+ Hits, there was a lot of resentment towards him as a compiler and being a teammate of Bagwells.

Cano for being a Yankee and for taking the pay day.

Cano has already surpassed Biggio in my mind. Cano has 1200 less games but is right on Biggio tail in most counting stats, while being far ahead of Biggio in the rate stats.

And Cano does not wear armor and stand ON the plate, does he?

Again, I voted for Biggio, but I suspect when all is said and done, my all-time vote would go to Cano.

Biggio right now, but I'd say Cano's had a better peak. I'd take Cano's 2010-14 over any 5 year stretch by Biggio.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cano ends up with a better career. He's looked a lot better of late (.311/.365/.578, 9 HR in last 148 PA).
