I'm no softball expert, but the hell is up with the national seedings? They made Washington a 16? They've been ranked in the top-10 damn near all season. Only 12 SEC teams (sarcasm)? I would've gone:

The Pac-12 had 5 nationally-ranked teams; second only to the SEC's 7. That's one more than the ACC & two more than the Big 12, and the Pac usually shows up big during tournament time. I'm not sure why they weren't shown more love by the NCAA playoff committee.

It may be that fewer Pac teams put in bids to host regionals this year due to Covid issues. Georgia is hosting a regional in which they are not the higher-seeded team. Go figure.

When the playoffs started there were 10 multi-bid leagues. Six of those have been eliminated: Sun Belt (4 teams), CUSA (3 teams), Big 10 (3 teams), American Athletic (3 teams), Atlantic-Sun (2 teams), and MVC (2 teams).

Of the remaining muti-bid leagues, the SEC has 7 of 12 teams still in play (58.3%), the Big 12 has 3 of 5 (60.0%), the Pac-12 3 of 6 (50.0%), and the ACC 2 of 5 (40.0%).

Only one of the 23 single-bid leagues (4.3%) has a team remaining in the playoffs, and that's the Colonial League's James Madison.

The greatest and fewest amounts of teams that each remaining conference has that can make the WCWS:

Oklahoma continued to show everyone they are the best right now taking out Washington.
