If a player played 10 years, but you only want to see an 8 consecutive year period, click the first year, then the final year and a pop up will appear with all the rate stats
I must be doing something wrong. I get the per season rates for those seasons on all the counting stats like RBI, HR, etc. but it leaves the stats like AVG, OPS, OPS+ blank

:noidea:

I just confirmed it still works.

I did Barry Bonds as a random test. Click the 1992 row (it will shade orange) and click the 1998 row (‘92-‘98 will all be shaded orange) and a pop up will appear with those years summarized.

I might just be "differently abled". I got it to work once for Bonds but obviously that's not who I wanted to look at now. I'm sure it's some kind of user error

How about this…

Select [Player]. Click the [first year] row (it will shade orange) then click the [last year] row (‘[first year]-‘[last year] will all be shaded orange) and a pop up will appear with those years summarized.

Does that help?

yes I'm doing exactly what you're saying and the rows turn orange and it gives me a summary but it omits the percentage stats like OPS. Do I need a stathead subscription or something?

Note for future rounds. Carl Yastrzemski could be an overlooked player. His prime took place in the late 1960's when pitching was king but if the voters based it on the same stats as they use today he might have a couple more MVPs

Maybe a bit too soon but if we're going off WAR3 instead of something like WAR7 then he'd be near the top.

I have included him in the list a few times. He didn’t lead to any discussion, though.

No activity on this today. I think I am going to a one-day cycle on all polls moving forward.

Not saying he belongs now or in the next several, but Steve Carlton hasn't been mentioned yet. Yeah he pitched for 87 years. Yeah, his last seasons weren't pretty. But 329 wins, 4100+ strikeouts and four Cy Young should count for something.

He has been mentioned and i think I included him a few times on the list. He isn’t “ready” at this point, but he has not been forgotten.
