So he could retire a lifetime Spur like TD and Manu.
But he can do a 1 day sign and retire.

What's wrong with the guy getting paid another year to play the game he loves?

For me personally it sucks having to watch diminished versions of great players. Tony Parker is a HOFer and a great point guard. It's a selfish reason more so than anything.

Agreed, that's why I let it slide, it's his career not mine.

No one likes seeing Willie Mays on the Mets, but they've earned the right to hang on as long as they can

One of the most underrated PGs of his generation.

Overshadowed by Timmy, and then Manu and Kahwi, but ridiculously effective.

It's because he could still play a little. He didn't want to be relegated to player-coach in San Antonio and he even said that himself.

Yeah again it’s just a selfish reason. I understand his reasoning completely. But like I feel a lot of at least some of the fans new to the NBA in the last 5 years will never appreciate how great Vince Carter was in his prime. They’ll only see YouTube and his bench role.

Well you can't blame the guy for pretending to still be a relevant NBA player if some one is stupid enough to give him money
