Rosters are pretty much set. I did one of these two years ago and due to a messed up shortened covid season I didn't do one last year, so here we go again:

Does anyone have any (possible outlandish) predictions they'd like to make?
Here are mine:

Neither the Lakers or Nets become NBA champs.

Pop retires after this season

Rookie of the year will be someone outside of the top 5 picks

Luka wins MVP

Ben Simmons starts the season with the Sixers but doesn't end with them

Blazers fail to make the playoffs, Dame demands a trade

These may not all happen but a lot of them might

I don't see why people are so hesitant to make a prediction. It doesn't mean you're an idiot if you get them wrong.

I bet you little to no people had the Heat making the finals two seasons ago. Or the Suns making the finals last season.

Really all it is, is a bit of fun

You could have increased your percentage if you broke it up. You could have said the Lakers won’t win the championship. The Nets won’t win the championship. In fact, you could increase your percentage quite a bit if you listed most teams. Just kidding.

2) The Pacers will win a playoff series for the first time in eight years and, in turn, Carlisle will win his first series since winning it all in 2011. It will be proven this season that the Pacers/Carlisle need one another in order to succeed...

3) The Warriors will participate in the play-in series this season and will continue their winless record in such games.

4) The Timberwolves will be unable to escape NBA purgatory and will explore KAT trade options at some point in 2022.

5) He won't be a legit MIP candidate, but Devin Vassel will be a name that, under Pop's tutelage, makes a significant step forward.
