Glad I had to work and could not watch the game. Bryzy back to his old ways again? I fucking hope not. For whatever reason TB plays us tough. Again, I didn't think we would catch the Rags or Pens, but still this sounds embarrassing.

Um actually only one goal was somewhat his fault. TB took advantage of what was given to them, and Roloson was freakin amazing..

That's it.

This team is going places. Utter domination tonight. I don't even really care that they lost. If roloson has an average night the flyers would've had 10 tonight, at least. This team doesn't give up. I love it.

If they could stop leaving the seam wide open for breakaways though, that's be good.

I didn't think briere played poorly? His line with schenn and Simmonds was forceful. Carle had a brutal giveaway with 2 minutes left that handed them the goal (bryz moved to the other side of the net like carle wrapped it around the boards)

Teddy Purcell grabbed the puck and moved it to St. Louis, who sent it to Stamkos just above the left circle. With traffic in front, Stamkos fired a shot that beat Bryzgalov just before the horn.


After St. Louis' goal put Tampa Bay ahead, Wyman added an insurance goal with 2:49 left. Matt Carle fumbled the puck behind his goal, and Wyman whacked the loose puck behind a stunned Bryzgalov for his second of the season, and first in 29 games.

Been preaching for the last few weeks to stop the fucking drop passes and it cost them on the PP tonight. bolts couldn't write a better script for stealing a game...give kudos to rolly he WON that game for them. didn't help that Couturiers stick was held on that stamkos goal that let him have two whacks at it otherwise its blocked. with all due respect 4706...there were 2 breakaways, a freak bullshit floater, and carle's goal. what exactly makes bryz a piece of trash? don't forget to leave out he had xrays after the game as well...

the breakaways must stop...but the national announcers i am sure did not point out the type of system the lightning were playing. they rarely brought 5 guys back into their zone, and consistently had one guy cherry picking the whole game. i guess when you are out of the playoffs you can play that way. its not an excuse but more so an observation...something that Lavi adjusted for in the second but still. turnovers will lose you a game.

We kicked their ass the whole game and lost some time that happens. I think we are the better and it showed just not on the scoreboard.

ya i was.. the flyers outshot them what.. 35-14 or something like that.. and the shots-taken stat was like 80-23 or something like that.. the flyers were an absolute force.. roloson stood on his head and got a lot of help from the posts (i think the flyers hit 3).. i honestly dont think anyone played an overall poor game.. briere and carle each made a critical mistake, but were very good otherwise.. i've taken an oath of silence on goaltending.. the Roo line was creating chances, the briere line was creating chances, for the first half of the game when lavy was matching couturier up with stamkos, not only did they shut him down, but they control the play and had them hemmed in the offensive zone the whole time

even the powerplay started turning it around after the first 2 or 3.. looked like someone (i'm guessing lavi cause he's the coach) just told them to start firing away cause the last 2 PP's i thought were very good.. still gotta dump and chase more, and for some reason timonen must hate voracek.. voracek in the past 5 or so games has been wide open on the other side with a clear lane cause they're stacking giroux's side, but timo doesn't pass.. give the puck to voracek and let him fire away.. he's got the only open lane when they load up to stop the giroux/hartnell connection

but the bolts goals were what.. empty netter.. carle's gaff (shit happens).. malone on a breakaway (briere you're a fool).. stamkos from the circle (his sweet spot).. and st louis on a breakaway (cover the seam please).. i'd rather the flyers load up on gaffs in 1 game then spread out 4 gaffs over 4 games..

and all those good things and lavi still was able to roll lines pretty well.. timonen led the team with 22 minutes yesterday.. in a playoff game, if the flyers are down, the top guys are going to have way more than 21 (G), 20 (harts), and 19 (jagr) minutes played.. they'll probably be up around 25-27 and gust will probably be down around 8 instead of 14

i was THAT impressed last night.. and to top it all off, they give up that carle gaff and rather than keel over (like i pretty much did) they come back and score a goal and come within inches of tying the game in the last minute.. that's the kind of will and heart that takes you places

oh ya i know.. i actually figured they were tops on the list.. but the flyers have been without (according to the media) their best dman all season, and have, at times, been down 3 or 4 of their top 6.. and theyre going to cross 400 man-games from rookies this year, beating the rest of the league by over 100.. 13 rookies to dress in a game this season, including a quite a few that had 8 at a time
