Nothing like having that "hands-on" disappointment to bring the point home eh? ha ha

I thought we had at least 4 guys who would/could compete for the #5 spot. And the mere fact JD is looking around shows he's not thrilled with whats transpired in ST to date.

I would hope one of the guys we have can hold it down for a month or so til Yu gets back. I also hope Colby can pitch well enough to be a 5th starter again this year. If JD is good with going out and adding a more viable option though, Im all for it.

It's been bantered around, with some recent regularity, the Rangers may try and go with a 4 man rotation to start, with a man in the pen who may be able to spot start.

I'm glad... He needs more seasoning. I'd go with Guthrie or griffin as the #5. Their experience might be good enough to last for a few months. Look at what Wandy did last year.

Rangers Ryan Rua has chance to win bench role

This is an interesting way to look at what Rua could be. To me he has a chance to be a combo of Murphy and Moreland. To me if he becomes a combo of both then he would be better than either one of them.
