If he stays hot does he play everyday until he cools down, meaning mostly either Moreland or DeShields sits?

I don't see that happening, platoon is worse case scenario for Moreland at the start of the season.... plus Deshields is actually playing well offensively

He was actually solid last year, led the Rangers minor leagues in RBIs though the 12 Hrs were disappointing he hit .283

Banister told the team today that they can't wait until the regular season to turn it on, that they needed to get it going now so they would be ready for the regular season. It looks like that woke up some guys, especially Moreland and Beltre.

You really can't think Banister's "pep-talk" got Beltre going. Beltre, year-in-out, is notorious for starting ST/early season slowly.

Of course I don't know, but I certainly wouldn't rule it out. You never know what makes these guys tick. Whoever it works on I am glad we have a manager who will say things like that to veterans and younger players alike.

I do appreciate Banister being who he is, gonna do it his way, say what he thinks without being insensitive or disrespectful to anyone. One of the aspects of Banister's demeanor/style I truly respect. That's why I'll give a pat-on-the-back to ownership/JD & Co for doing their due diligence when finding us a new manager.

But I respectfully would rule it out as being motivational when it comes to Adrian Beltre.
