Eric Nadel had a raving review of Nick Tepesch's performance. He was impressed with the movement on his pitches. Tepesch faced the minimum.

Luke just needs to get healthy and go to Round Rock to start the season to prepare for coming up when we have our first bullpen injury.

When I first saw the headline of "Rangers bullpen depth takes another hit as prospect is shut down with back issues" I was hoping it was not one of our main back of the BP guys. Then I see they are talking about Scheppers and Jackson. I saw Jackson at AAA and Scheppers would only be a BP hit if he was on the MLB roster.

Of course the Rangers are turning a profit. Hell, the nosebleed seats for Opening Day were $40.00.

Good to hear. Wouldn't this be a good and surprising turn of events if he won the 5th spot?

And I look at it like, this will give more time for Gonzalez and Martinez to develop a true "out pitch" plus give us strong reserves for the inevitable injury/fatigue.

But what if Gonzalez and/or Martinez have already done that this offseason as well. Could make for some very solid depth.

Exactly...........then more better.

That's the same scenario, but maybe the names move around.

Always remember.....gotta start the season with 10 guys who can start at some point in time.

I wasn't listening while Barnette pitched, but Nadel said after the game that he looked very impressive.

Maz with a 3R HR. He's 6 for 6 this spring so far.

Hope he continues to have a great ST and then continues to build his confidence in RR to start the year by tearing the cover off the ball there too. With the Desmond acquisition though I don't think there is any way even with a phenomenal spring that he should make the big league roster and sit on the bench waiting for PT

You'll get no argument here.

Some nice things looking at the box score but Klein is such a disappointment. Agree that Maz is looking great and will start at AAA but his call up could depend on how our defense is looking the first month or so. Glad we were wise to give Desmond just a 1 year contract.
