Way too harsh an assessment of Stubbs IMO.

I don't think anyone is expecting him to be All-World. Just be "decent-to-good-to-adequate" depending on the circumstances.

Draft pick compensation, according to pretty much everything I've read about it the last couple of years. Teams don't want to give up their picks.

I expect this to be revised. Hurts the players potentially too much

Stubbs doesn't inspire me at all.

DDJ arm does not inspire me either. A MILB signing of Stubbs was easily predicted. He played his role well late last season

You are correct sir. No guarantee but at least a defensive ace in the hole and the best we have in the system until Brinson is ready

Got the same email but came up snake eyes. Really wanted to do 20 game package to split in half with someone but all good got the holiday package

I'd like to see what DDJ does with almost a full season of experience, full ST of coaching and full health before fully damning his defensive chops in CF

The speed is there and generally if the effort exists in conjunction, they can be at least competent CFers

I think a lot can be coached but the arm? I have my doubts but would be happy to be wrong

His offense will keep in the line up. Rather see him in lf if Wille Mays was available but considering he isn't we have to hope Banny has an antidote fpr the arm.

I really like it when we get a lead and with our BP we substitute Defense in CF. BTW Mays was amazing. Like the Kid too. Really hope Brinson pans out at some point

I will be glad when Brinson makes DeShields a backup and puts a guy like Stubbs on another club. Unless of course we trade Delino.

If Brinson and Mazara both fulfill their potential, DDJ (as much as I like him) should bring a nice return.

I agree but DDJ is a good lead off hitter. Of course I hope Brinson can fill the role of lead off. Not sure DDJ can be effective off the bench. I really liked the lockdown defense Stubbs provided. Maybe Brinson can prove otherwise offense and defense

Yes that is what i said --"Not sure DDJ can be effective off the bench" translation - I want him to start here or be traded for value if Brinson earns the spot
