But only 8 points in the SB.

Is that not less then Brady scored in 07 and everyone is all over him negatively for it?

Peyton needs to be held to the same standards, or else it shows everyone's hypocrisy.

And yes Peyton's image does need a little shining up. After all those records, he still is a sub 500 qb when it counts the most and even worse in SBs. (by the way he was worse in his 2 losses then Brady was in his, and yet again, that is all we hear about of how those bring Brady down, yet nothing for Manning's epic failures)

Just fucking wow. :L

Tom Terrific throws 50 TDs.

"Greatest ever!"

Peyton throws 56?

"But, but, but..."

It's honestly laughable.

I agree.

They're both two of the greatest QB's that have ever played the game. Yes?

And the point to my original statement is why attack a man that threw 56 TD passes?

Because he's anyone other than Jesus Chr... errr, I mean Tom Brady.

That Giants defense was a lot better than I think people gave credit for.

If Manning was as great as everyone makes him out to be, he should have done better. (using the Brady standard the trolls and haters use).

Also a big difference.

Brady had the lead in his SB vs the Giants (both times)

Peyton threw away his second SB (literally with a pick 6) vs the Saints, and then just had the complete meltdown vs Seattle (speaking of, no one here even spoke of his safety, yet they were all over Brady for his).

Just more double standards from the Captain One and Done crowd.

The Giants defense was better than it got credit for, no doubt...but was it as good as the Seahawks defense this past season?

You didn't answer the question.

They did not do that well during the year. They were great for one game.

This is Manning we are talking about it. The "greatest of all time" should manage more than 8 points and leave the field with the lead (as Brady did)

Takes more than that 50 or 56 to make either of them the Greatest.

You just don't want to use the same standards for both.

Truth is they both lost the big game, so 50 or 56 only means they padded stats and choked on the biggest stage.

No way, the Seahawks D was much better than the Giants D in first match against the Pats. NY got hot at the right moment in the Pats SB, Seattle was good all year and capped it off with a great performance in the past SB. Maybe a couple of teams would have put up a better fight, but Seahawks D was smothering in last SB.

Yeah, I'd ban someone simply for asking why a certain team who portrays themselves as the personification of greatness when they haven't won shit in a decade, but let Pats fans call me every name in the book and laugh it off.

Right.

Well then, we agree. Anybody purposely being as big of a dick as possible to a fan base would be banned from the site or restricted to their own board. All the briz ever did was knob slob over his own team and that was his fate.

Again though, your complete abandonment of any sense of fair play amuses me so by all means, troll away~

And please show me where I said Manning is the greatest of all time.

I don't think either Brady OR Manning fit the bill on that, thank you.

The Giants defense in '07 wasn't as good as the Seahawks of this past season - not even close.

Manning threw for more TD's than Brady.

For the record is it impossible to judge which of the two is better - especially by a single stat.

My point is that any man that throws 56 TD's in a single season doesn't need to be defended.

Kinda my point as well for those that want to slam Manning for only putting up 8 points vs. the Seahawks.

Brady didn't do much better vs. the Giants of '07, truth be told.

Both men are two of the greatest ever. Why can't people just leave it at that?

Because you wouldn't have left it at that had Manning won this Superbowl. You and all the other Brady bashers would have had a field day with how superior Manning is.

That's why.

Actually, I WOULD have left it at that.

I don't believe either QB is better than the other.

I don't believe either is the GOAT.

Can't prove it and fortunately I don't have to.

...BUT, if you say that you wouldn't have piled on Brady, I'll have to take your word for it.
