I really don't think there's any way to actually determine who the best QB of all time is.

Peyton = Lebron
Welker = Bosh
Elway = Wade

Peyton is the best QB to ever need to jump ship to win another title. Tom will always be the best QB who stayed with the same team his whole career.

I don't recall one man's legacy riding on one game the way this upcoming one is on Manning. Solid play and a commanding win will have Manning fans and Brady haters doing the new math...2/3 > 3/5. Sloppy play and a game losing INT will solidify a career of post season mediocrity.

I think that if Manning and Brady switched teams this year, we'd have seen pretty similar results to what happened.

That's a really stupid comparison. Manning didn't "need to jump ship," he didn't leave as a free agent while his team desperately tried to resign him, or demand a trade or anything. His old team wasn't sure if he could play anymore and they had a chance to get the next great qb prospect, so they released him.

Manning has been 1st Team All-Pro more than twice as many times as Brady has even been top 5 in passer rating. He's been NFL MVP almost twice as many times as Brady has been top 5 in passer rating.

I know, but we all know he'd never sniff another SB in Indy and so did the owner. Kinda my point. No Broncos, no SB appearance for Peyton. That's cool. Lebron did it. Tom never had to though. That's all. So Brady gets some extra credit for that.

Brady gets extra credit because he didn't suffer an injury that no one was sure if he could ever come back from? :wtf2:

Changing teams doesn't somehow make you a worse player. If anything, proving you can take another organization to a Super Bowl should be a credit, not a detriment. I mean, the list of quarterbacks that have started a Super Bowl for two different teams is what, 3? Craig Morton, Kurt Warner and Manning?

there isn't and there is no such thing. Every 10 years has its better players and life marches on

No, there is not.

Hell, we can't even agree on who the best QB of today is. Brady? Brees? Manning (P)? Rogers?

Then you start throwing in that guys used to play under different rules. In the 70's you could hit QB's and recievers in the head. Perfectly legal. No such thing as roughing the passer or hitting a defenseless receiver. The Mel Blount rule didn't come along till the mid-70's.

Back in the 40's the ball was 6 inches thicker around the middle. Did you know that? It was made for carrying, not throwing. That's the ball Slinglin' Sammy Baugh had to use part of his career. Let's see one of today's QB's try to throw THAT for 5,000 yards!

There are two positions I believe you can determine GOAT: TE and WR.

WR = Jerry Rice. Don Hutson second.

TE = Tony Gonzalez.

You'd even get an argument on RB. Most people will say either Jim Brown or Barry Sanders.

I also believe there is no argument on greatest HC ever. That's Vince Lombardi. 6 championships in 9 years. When someone comes along that can beat that or tie it, then we'll have a discussion on it.

Like I said before ......

Manning --- 400 yds passing 2 TDs

Brady --- 277 yds passing 1 TD 1 TD Rushing

Prater won this game folks. Manning did some of the work, but Prater had to kick FGs over 50 yards. I wouldn't be kissing Manning's ass for that. As great as you all may THINK he did, he didn't put it into the end zone any more often than Brady. You can argue any shit you want, but those is the facts.....................Manning could NOT get the Broncos into the end zone more than Brady.

>>>>>>>>>>>END OF STORY<<<<<<<

Denver defense won that game.

Good point but fuck comparing these guys to the Heat Players, BS IMO!

I think millions of people just saw a complete QB collapse, perhaps the greatest in a Super Bowl. Seattle did what your suppose to against manning, just show him some pressure. He quickly can make terrible decisions when the game speeds up.

He is still a top 10QB, perhaps at the Marino level

NE Hatriots Fans Gloating Over This Loss

All I can do is shake my head because, honestly, it's beyond belief. :laugh:

Patriots get their asses kicked by Manning and the Broncos on a dismal outting by Tom Brady.

"Had nothing to do with Brady. It's a team game."

Broncos get their asses kicked after Manning's greatest season in NFL history and setting Super Bowl record for completions.

"He's the worst ever. It was a pathetic choke. He should retire. He's the worst ever."

The complete void of reason, logic and class is mind-boggling and only conceivable by a fan of Boston sports.

Here, let me sum it up...
