It would depend on where the picks are (I'm assuming likely 1st and 2nd round picks), but if I'm Chiapet, I strongly consider making this swap.

Maybe, but one of the Oilers biggest issues is after the first round of the draft has concluded, they basically close up shop and call it a day.

True but it's not like the Flames haven't been picking deep into the draft the last few years is it? Unless they don't have faith in the current prospect pool it seems like a no-lose move.
