Geez, that seems like an awful lot to give up, but maybe BT thinks both Tkachuk and Dubois will already be off the board when it's the Flames turn at the podium.

I'm quite confused.

But regardless, if Calgary makes that trade it unloads a lot of ammo they likely need for a goalie. Would probably mean they sign Reimer and my guess is they wind up overpaying him.

Having said that, I'd probably do both. Get a goalie, get another franchise winger, get a bad contract but if it's done soon they can buy that out.

Yeah, I like Juolevi, but with prospects like Andersson and Hickey, the Flames currently don't need dmen, they need more top-end talent up front.

i posted a couple months back about a finnish writer saying that Jarmo might not like 1 if not both of the Finns because Finns are the hardest on "their own" ... looks like he might have been right

I can't imagine a package the Jackets offer the Leafs for #1 outside of 3rd, Jones, Werenski and their next two first rounders and them also taking Lupul back. This is beyond Lindros territory.

Having said that, assuming the Leafs would then go all-in on Stamkos, I'd make that deal.
