1.5 steps?

You don't get 2 complete steps. 2 complete steps is a travel. So the colloquial version is to say 1.5 steps.

you can take 1 full step and lift the other foot off the floor. But it lands for a 2nd step and you are still holding the ball, that is a travel. 100% of the time.

The jump stop doesn't make any sense. You literally are allowed to do an "up and down" without it being a travel.

But it's legalized in the rule book.
