Honestly probably couldn't even beat a D3 mens team. There is just a huge difference between in athleticism and height.

albeit true I could see it happening where they did beat a men's team... Not very likely but still

I live in CT.

Back when I was in college I met a guy from down near the casinos in CT (the CT WNBA team plays there).

They said they'd use guys at the casino staff to practice against the women's pro team and they'd routinely dominate them to the point where the HC would throw the girls out of practice.

So no, I highly doubt they're beating a team of some of the best amateur players in the country (the reality is, even a mediocre team like this year's uconn team is still in the top 1% of all amateur basketball players from the ages of 18-22).

You think they're gonna beat an Oak Hil or one of these elite prep schools that have 4-5 D1 guys on it?

Jalen Adam's HS team his senior year had something absurd like SEVEN guys signed to D1 schools on it.

Breanna Stewart is amazing and is probably going to be the best woman's player ever in the history of the Universe, but she's not enough when she's only 6'4. What is she gonna do against a 6'10 260 lb center?

Probably not Oak Hill.. Anything is possible though.

I just don't see it unless they're shooting nuts from 3.

Also you'd have to decide what ball and whose rules to use. Including the 3pt arc length.

While I know Vegas has the line, I think calling Wisconsin an underdog against Notre Dame might not be the most accurate. It isn't like Notre Dame is a superior basketball team compared to Wisconsin, at least. I legitimately think that's a 50/50 game.

Indiana on the other hand is going to have their hands full with North Carolina. The Hoosiers could pull it out, but they'll be hard-pressed to pull that one out against the Tar Heels.
It would have been awesome if the Notre Dame vs Wisconsin game was in Chicago. That crowd would be split down the middle with diehards.

They probably would beat most HS teams where just the fundamentals would be lacking. A lot of HS teams don't even have a legitimate center.

I know this guy that thinks you could take 5 locals that play pickup at our gym and they would beat the UConn women. I highly doubt it. Most of them are fat and wouldn't be able to run down the court after a few minutes (they basically play half court lol).

Probably fair. But you could find 5 college students who played in HS who probably could.

Probably. Like guys who tried to walk on and got cut.

Yeah. I got to play against some of those guys at the University gym for pickup....some of them are amazing athletes. It just shows you how freaking good the guys who actually make the team are.

Dude, If Aggies could cure cancer, end starvation and homelessness, and usher in world peace - ElJexan would say it was a fluke.

And surprisingly no one would think less of him, as he's already a laughing stock blowhole.

Like the time they claimed to have performed cold fusion... :L

Cold fusion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

lel, you really are the most pathetic piece of shit on the boards. I thought that was the title for starbigd, but you take the cake with bullshit like this. :L

Oh no, someone published a paper and A&M along with many others were able to find parts of it that held up, an upon peer review and attempts to replicate they found that there was an issue with the sample. How that is relevant to this conversation is beyond me. Your basketball team choked to a team A&M didn't.

tl;dr version...go fuck yourself :suds:

In order to beat a men's team, the women would have to have guards who ball like crazy.

Remember, Brittney Griner was the best big woman ever and she can only dunk if wide open.

But some of the guards who have come out could run circles around dudes.

If the women had Diana Taurasi, she is better than many guys who are DI.

Jay Bilas, ESPN: In his ESPN Insider article, Bilas argues that Dayton was over-seeded and Gonzaga is a fortunate draw for Syracuse.

Fuck off Bilias.

Stewart Mandel, Sports Illustrated: Mandel calls Syracuse the least likeable team remaining in the Sweet 16, citing the school's breaking of NCAA rules.

"Rooting for Syracuse to make the Final Four would be like cheering for the Yankees to beat a Triple-A team."

Howie Mandel has a say?
