That's not really true. Durant started to jump in the air, and LeBron continued to foul him, slowing his progress in the shooting motion. Again, i'm pretty convinced he was trying to foul before the shot and was pretty stunned that it wasn't called. He tried to back off to avoid continuation (and a possible three point play) but i'm not sure he did it fast enough.

what was the foul when he jumped into the air? He grabbed his arm initially, but durant locked his wrist under his arm. I didnt see any contact except for the knee after durant opened his arm

I'm pretty sure the initial contact continued in midair. It wouldn't have been continuation, but I definitely think it influenced Durant's jump, and this his shot.

Of course, this is the luxury of having a foul to give. Every once in a while, the refs will miss the call. It's another reason to avoid fouling in the early stages of halves.

My understanding, Finals went 2-3-3 in 80s cuz of LA/Bos matchups. Long commercial flights for teams. Now teams fly cushy charters 2-2-1-1-1
