Dumb pet peeve of mine. The music both in stadiums/arenas and in sports broadcasting is usually far too old.

That's cool. Don't remember hearing that in an arena. That's going so far back it's played for a reason not just because someone is being lazy - dating themselves.

What gets played is the music genres catered to the old folks (like me) who pay for the tickets of course.

But yah. It is comical. Way back in the day when Vancouver had the NBA Grizzlies, I would go to games and the Beatles ob la di song got heavy rotation bet the players just loved that shit lol

/bit tangent but my daughter does the music/scorekeeping at my sons hockey games alternating games with her friend.

After the first few songs in the first game she did, the parents were telling us in the stands shes gotta change this music playlist. She was playing songs the kids on the ice were grooving to though.

So my wife asked her to come up with a more parent friendly playlist and she refused and my wife ended up doing it (btw i think that creed song was in there ). My daughter reviewed the list and thought it was trash and begged to add some songs of her choosing. My wife said ok to adding 5 but but she had final say.

In semi protest my daughter tried to add Yuno Miles (popular among the “yutes” today) song “beat my grandma with a pumpkin”
