I'm still waiting for the parts to rebuild the guts of my grill. I needed 4 cast iron burners, the bracket to hold them up in the back, and two electrodes. $200 worth of parts, but the grill is a stainless steel Kenmore and was $1500 (off-season) new, so refurbishing it to get another 8 years makes sense.

The parts will probably be here tomorrow. I may order another complete set knowing what will eventually need to be replaced again in case those parts aren't available next time I need to rebuild.

Is that chicken marinated or is that a dry rub?

Making bacon onion toastlets right now (only I'm not toasting them because I like them better untoasted), getting really hungry.

That helps make me decision- I was debating when I get a new grill to buy a high dollar one or another walmart special... I think I paid 300 for mine 3 years ago and it's about shot.. So I figure 100 a year.

1500/8= 187......

I'm gonna stick with the cheap hunk of metal and replace it every 3 years.

Or just grill like a man, with charcoal. I've had my grill for 30+ years. I replace the rack every few years for a few bucks.

I bought a Weber (charcoal) about 5 years ago and haven't had to replace anything yet. Keep it clean and covered. I'm sure the grate will need some attention after this summer, but we'll see.

Yep. All you need. I'd rather spend that $100 a year on beer.

Blah blah blah........

"grill like a man"

That shit is so fucking tired...

If I'm being picky about my food I sure as hell don't want to cook it over fucking charcol...... I'll take the grates out of my gas grill and build a fire with hickory and applewood in the back yard.....

I use my grill 6-7 days a week in the summer- charcoal is too much hassel for everyday cooking.
