Fried tends to break down a bit later in games. I think taking him out on a high note was the right move regardless of what happens.

Eventually gotta push him though. Whether it's mental or physical or whatever there's going to come a time when we need him to go over 100 pitches to save the pen

I agree. Tonight wasn't the time though IMO. Coming off an off day with Greene and Melancon being great lately.

He's going to have to. Soroka and Fried are the future. Going to need them to be the leaders with Anderson coming up soon. That could be a nasty rotation

As much as I've defended Julio this year, I don't think he'll be back next season. He's been awesome this season, but I doubt he repeats it.

And nice to finally hang an L on Strasburg this season.

But I'm leaning towards thinking both Donaldson and Keuchel will be back next season.

I love Markakis, but with Pache, Waters and Riley(if Donaldson comes back) waiting for outfield spots, and Acuna having one of them on lockdown, we might not bring him back, and if we don't, I hope he signs with an AL Central team, because he'd burn us everytime we play against him.

I think you have to bring Donaldson back, he seems to love it here. Hopefully DK is back as well.

I think Markakis is back as a starter early in the year until Pache/Waters come up in June, whichever one doesn't start out with the club at the beginning of the season.

The big question is, what do we with Riley. He's the 3B of the future, but where does he fit next year. Too bad we don't have the DH in the NL

That's a possibility. I didn't realize we had an option on him for next season either, thought it was a walk year for him. If he were on the market, I wouldn't be willing to pay him what he'd be asking for.
