Kind of the story of Max Fried's season. The last inning of the start ruins what was a gem, but it doesn't really matter because he gets so much run support. I know the w/l record for a pitcher doesn't tell the story, but if you're 15-4, you're doing something right.

Chipper and Frenchy made a good point. The offense is on everytime Fried starts(I'm looking at them a little sideways if I'm Soroka or Julio), I wouldn't mind the gamble starting him the first game of the playoff series.

I’m sure it’ll be kuechal or soroka starting a playoff series. Probs leaning them choosing kuechal. I’d feel great with kuechal-soroka-Fried with Folty/tehran as a bullpen.

I'll take the win. Would have preferred not having to use Melancon. Swarzak was a big pick up. He was a solidified the pen earlier in the season when we needed it, but he's not the same guy now.

And honestly I don’t get it. He was still making good pitches. They were just getting hit. I guess his “stuff” just doesn’t have the same bite since the injury

I think we're probably gonna use a 4 man rotation.

Snit will probably go with Keuchel first because of the playoff experience, and if he keeps pitching like he has his last 3 starts, I'll be fine with that.

Yeah, that DL stint is when it all went down. We got him for nothing, and he's cheap. I'm glad we got good production from him for a stretch. But doesn't look like he'll make the postseason roster at this rate.

Our top priority is obviously holding off the Nats, but we definitely shouldn't give up on catching the Dodgers for the top seed either.

6 games out, and they have like a 20 game lead in their division, so they'll be resting players earlier.

Personally, I'd rather face the Nats in the NLDS. We haven't gotten farther than the DS since 2001, and the Nats never have. Something would have to give.
