That is in November while Texas didn't even have a coach. That might as well be an article from 1977

OSU already took 2 Safeties this year. I doubt they do that if they thought they were in good standing with Foster
Because you can never have too many stud defensive backs? That's been OSU's philosophy under Meyer, and obviously it's paying dividends. Your logic doesn't hold water.

That generally applies to CBs. You don't see that very often at Safety.

There's a very good chance OSU returns 2 upper-classmen safeties next season, and one was only a 3* who shouldn't be difficult to overtake. We'd have plenty of room. Again, silly logic. If OSU wants these guys, they'll have them.

Last line is funny. Urban can recruit, but he can't get every kid. Even he would acknowledge that.

A CB that doesn't work out, can become an All-Conference safety. A safety that doesn't work out is likely a small LB. There is a reason the Lord Meyer has taken more CBs, than safeties. He gets it

And, again, there will be more than enough room for 2-3 safeties in our 2018 class.

It's about time management. I am sure if Foster called OSU would take him. They are not going to go through all the nonsense to grab a 3rd safety. Only so much time available for coaches with 2 Safeties on board, they aren't going to prioritize him. You aren't grabbing an OOS 5 star kid unless you prioritize him.

Foster is a Texas kid, there's really no debate about that. That's why there are NO CBs for Foster to OSU, LOL.....100% picks to Texas.

And no, OSU isn't DBU, Texas has more DBs starting in the league RIGHT NOW.

Gotta love Buckeye arrogance.......it's well deserved, but it's not always accurate

They aren't grabbing him at all unless Texas doesn't take him. NOBODY, including OSU recruiting analysts, thinks they have a chance in hell with that kid.

And we're still taking everyone's recruits.

Like I tried to explain to the buckeye homer last year.......every Texas kid grew up idolizing UT, like most kids in most states. It's not new or rocket science.

They all believe Texas is rebuilding something special. The coaching staff in place has a LOT of skins on the wall in terms of pro player development. Herman is a known commodity.

IF Texas wins on the field you can kiss recruiting the state goodbye.

And Mack was tagged Mr. November and had a bunch of #1 classes and where did that get him?

Two NC appearances and one win.

Mack isn't the same type of coach Herman is, I don't see your point.

The last time Texas was a contender, was BECAUSE they locked up the instate talent. They have a realistic shot at nearly 90% of the top 20 instate.

He had only one or two #1 class or thereabouts, but he did have a lot of higher rated classes.

But, even if they werent:
National Title
National Runner-up
Heisman Winner
2 Heisman Runner ups
Coach of the year
Most overall wins in the country during his era
Most weeks ranked during his era
Most consecutive appearances in the BCS poll during his era
Most Big 12 wins during his era
record 22 consecutive Big 12 wins
longest consecutive 10 win streak in college football
3 Maxwell, 2 Davy O'Briens, 2 Thorpe, 2 Doak Walker, and a Butkus
10 Bowl Wins including (Rose, Cotton, Fiesta)

He did this while taking a faded mediocre brand $$$ into the #1 most valuable brand $$$.

Complete Failure.

No debate, except for him saying personally that OSU is his number 1 school.

Also, I said current DBU. OSU had as many defensive backs taken in the 1st round this year as Texas has had drafted in the last 5 years combined. We're pumping out defensive backs at a ridiculous clip, one that Texas isn't even remotely competing with. You putting a DB in the NFL back when Mack Brown was still coach doesn't mean shit. Having a current staff that's putting multiple in each draft each year does.

And just last year you said CBs didn't mean shit when I said Browning was CB'd to Baylor. What a d-bag you are about your team. Get some clarity.
