Ozzie's on the All Star team whether he won the vote or not. If he didn't win the vote, he'll be a reserve. Freddie will be starting at first.

Harper has been playing center field for the Nats lately. Kemp plays left and Markakis plays right. Let em play their normal positions.

I wonder what the outfield alignment would be if 3 DH's playing left field in the NL had won the vote.

Apparently we've been scouting Nate Eovaldi of the Rays. He's been good this year since coming back from injury. Had a perfect game into the 7th today. Might be cheaper than Cole Hamels or JA Happ with the injury concerns, but would be a bit more risky too.

We're not getting Blake Snell. I'd imagine he's part of their future plans, and we would have to unload the farm if they were willing to trade him.

Wouldn't mind Romo though.

I actually like the A's to pass the Mariners. Mariners are one of those teams that are gonna have to prove it before I can buy in.

But, 4 of the 5 spots are already locked up. While in the NL, there's multiple teams still alive in every division, and only the Mets, Marlins, Pirates, Reds and Padres are really out of it.

Looking ahead,I really do think AA is going to bring Kimbrel back next year and go all out for Harper.

We got shit in return for Kimbrel. I'd love to have him back.

It's just a shame that Frank Wren gave BJ Upton that contract. Pairing BJ with Kimbrel was the only way we were gonna be able to move BJ, and it greatly reduced the return we got for Kimbrel.

We were rebuilding and tanking anyways. I know we would have had to have traded Kimbrel. But I wish we would have just bit the bullet and kept BJ. His contract would have been up last year, and we could have got a real haul for Kimbrel.

As far as Harper goes, if we can get him for the right price, I'm all for it, but if he's looking for a 300+ million dollar deal, I'd rather just bring Markakis back on a 2 year deal. He signed on to be a part of the rebuild and he's been a pretty good player for us, and it'd be nice for him to be a part of the team when we're contending again.
